Servant x service quality

Imagine if three people suddenly found themselves as civil servants of the city Mitsuba. What sort of personalities and drives would they have to push them to seek out such careers? Lucy Yamagami, a serious young woman assigned to the Welfare Administrative Section, intends to use the job as a means of settling a vendetta against another civil servant. Yutaka Hasebe, a flirtatious young man assigned to the First Section of the Welfare Department, intends to slack off whenever he can and have a good time. And Saya Miyoshi, a college graduate assigned to the Second Section of the Welfare Department, intends to simply get through the first job she's had in her life as best she can.

What It Means to Be a Public Servant

After the relationship revelations last week, will Servant x Service keep going down the romantic drama route?

Or is something different in store this week? But I liked the introduction of his daughter Kanon, both for her dealing with her father and her dealing with Tohko.

Or probably both. Either way, Kanon does a good job deflecting Tohko, who is still the bane of the office and the show. But at least the Chief is trying to be more involved in the day to day operations of the office now.

So much so that she feels like she wants to quit.. So she wishes she could go back to school and finish. And a banker. And I do wonder if Miyoshi will even make it to the end of the show working at the ward office.

And what kind of person is Tanaka-san if Hasebe has that sort of reaction to him? And Touko knows how to make it annoying. Seriously, I never had the urge to punch my computer screen every time I see her and open her mouth. Seriously, Miyoshi needs to stand up for herself. For a year-old adult, she gets dictated by a high school girl what the fuck?! The fact that she can say painful words while still being kind was hilarious though, and that Hasebe, of all people will experience it.

She should die in a fire or something. And by getting out of my way, I mean, doing their job. If… My boss is like that, with that kind of personality, I will actually think of many reasons to squeeze him without getting fired.

Maybe a teddy bear though. We need to promote Kanon to Best Girl status. And in this office, she needs to be there full time. What does Tanaka-ooba really know about her other than she is basically a sort of doormat at this point? She sits there and lets this lady yammer on and on. I think only Lucy and Hasebe actually have any potential to learn how to do this….

Though I do miss the romance because I ship Lucy with Hasebe like mad. I also want to see how Tanaka looks like physically. I find it hard to imagine what kind of person could turn Hasebe off that much. You know, kind of like a worse version of Kaoru. Frankly, I think just about anyone would feel awkward if they found out their superior is a stuffed toy.

Being Miyoshi is suffering. She even put a dent in the usually unbreakable Hasebe. She seems sensible without being a pushover like some of the adults.

Her dad was also iffy at first but his voice more than makes up for it. And she certainly worked that way in this episode. They really seem to have thought out the relationships well. And why does Kanon need to explain what Mom was saying about the tail? Just go in the other room and tell him. I think that the boss is actually inhabiting the stuffed bunny.

Yeah, Symphogear G was intense. In a way, Hibiki looks better in black with fangs and regenerative powers. She owned the Nephilim like it was nothing. Her Symphogear is fusing more with her body and the toll will eventually kill her the more she uses it.

Hibiki looks cool…Tsubasa is still my favorite…but, ichiball wins as the best symphogear, Ver lost points with me for being a coward. Oh dear, I see why Hasebe would avoid him. But maybe Miyoshi would be interested in a guy that serious looking?

I plead the 5th. Her boldness combined with her calm, composed face in any situation just make her such an attractive character—no, person!

Fred Gray, iconic civil rights attorney and CWRU alum, to receive Presidential Medal of Freedom

Dad is the one to blame. And even worse, the blame can be traced to Yutaka because he was sick that day, and distracting his father. When I finished the first episode of Servant x Service , I thought it could be a fun series, but worried that a series that just focused on character quirks could get a bit stale fairly quickly like some other series this season eventually did. And when they introduced Tohko, it kind of felt like the ship was sinking. But then the series launched a couple of its own ships, and becoming a romantic comedy was really the way to go. I felt that both couples in the show were fun to watch, for different reasons, but they felt nicely authentic to me.

Research agenda to reform the civil service

In my recent commentaries, I have been worried about the state of public administration in Nigeria, and how this rebounds on the reform of the public service as a tool for development. And my worry derives from the near absence of a gatekeeping mechanism that ought to undergird the professionalism behind the public-spiritedness of a public servant. And its death, for me, signals the weakening of the generational debt that public administrators and public servants owe to those who have been charged to carry the responsibility of administering the Nigerian state and her development challenges. I have argued that if the present crop of public administrators and public servants—my generation—was mentored by the likes of Simeon Adebo, Sule Katagum, Jerome Udoji, through the Allison Ayidas, Phillips Asiodus, Ahmed Jodas, Abdul Aziz Attahs, Francesca Emanuel, Aminu Salehs, et al, it becomes a moral duty for us to also pass the baton of public service and professionalism to those coming behind. The fundamental point for me, therefore, is that the critical players in the public administration communities of practice and service must rediscover their shared mission and stakes in not only resuscitating the dying profession, but also find ways to achieve concrete and collective actions that will facilitate the capacity to chart a new future for our cherished calling and profession. This requires deploying our generational capital towards rebuilding public administration as the core catalyst to regaining the soul of the Nigeria Project. I doubt that it bears defending that if public administration fails, all else fail. If a defining national conference to ventilate thoughts, ideas and way forward and to strengthen the hands of the current leadership corps of the civil service, is the way to go, the conference sure will require significant basic, policy-engaged and action research inputs and deep-seated reflective thinking.

announce our first show of the Summer season: Servant x Service. We are still doing it, just not sure what our video quality is.

Servant X Service, Vol. 2

I wrote up an early look for this after the first 2 episodes at the start of the season. Initially, it felt bland, generic, uninspired, and all manner of things I go into in that post. Sadly, the trend continued on as the show progressed — however, there were some very good elements that were introduced further along that tried to make it watchable. While it maintains its constant spew of cliche garbage and overdone basic jokes that get rehashed at least 50 times in the episode they are introduced in not even exaggerating , the show actually starts legitimately focusing on office romance.

This is review number two hundred and thirty one. This anime is part of the Summer lineup. I finally found some time for my anime and I just need to work out a plan of attack. Apologies if my reviews are slow. Please bear with me and my hectic work life. I love Lucy Yamagami now though.

Plot: Yamagami rest omitted Lucy starts a job at a civil servant office to find out who approved her ridiculously long name, and get revenge.
