Disney puts its first 'attraction at sea' on new Disney Wish

Hello, fellow dear cartoon lovers od Cartoon Amino! Lemifan here! I would like to apologize for the long time it took for this review, and because it isn't Gravity Falls Season 2.

Forgive me, school has just started and I honestly procrastinated quite a bit. A big sorry from me. Now, let's get into Mickey Mouse , the modern version of our dear Mickey Mouse. A cartoon that, sadly, not many people talk about here. All rights go to the creators and everyone working on Mickey Mouse and Disney for the images and stuff like that. These cartoons are more like shorts, so sorry there isn't more to talk about here.

Also, I haven't watched all of the shorts, unfortunately. I watched mostly all of Season 1 and some other episodes. Enjoy :grinning:. The animation is spectacularly good.

This is how you make a modern depiction of a classic cartoon. It takes a bit of a simple approach, but with a really cool, old school style. It has a great look for shorts like this series aims for. The character designs are amazing, I especially love Mickey's design. I really like that his eyes are in that pie style.

Donald, Minnie, Goofy and Daisy all look awesome, too. All of these characters have this very sleek, ink look. Like I said, old schoolish, but still new.

The backgrounds are also pretty amazing. I had a hard time trying to explain why they're amazing and how they look in words, but then I got it. Remember how Foster's Home looked? The literal house?

Yeah that's how the backgrounds look. Some might find it jarring to the rest of the characters, but I think the backgrounds and their pencil drawing style compliments the characters that are in the main plan well, making them stand out. In most of the episodes, the animation shines because of how action packed the episodes are. Take the episode Black and White for example, where Mickey literally loses the color of his skin and chases it around.

There is an incredible animation sequence here that I don't want to spoil for you. The fast paced and slapstick sequences are mostly done well because of how stylised the animation is and also because it has this fluidity that makes it very appealing, at least to me. There really isn't a continuing story here. It's Mickey Mouse and his friends going through crazy adventures throughout each episode.

The episodes are mostly action packed without much dialogue mostly chase sequences or something similar and some are more dialogue and gag based. While some episodes are a bit more tame and set in a suburban environment, others are set in the mountains and involve Mickey running from a yeti.

The action episodes obviously gain an advantage because of the great and fluid animation. This cartoon really shows how to have fun with its ideas and settings. From a yeti attacking Mickey and then being forced to whisper and sneak around due to a possible avalanche to Mickey losing his ears and then chasing them around the city which again, leads to some pretty creative experimenting in the episode , this series is all around fun.

What I also have to say the cartoon gets right is the pace and the jokes. Since they are indeed shorts they have to either have quick jokes or visual gags. And they get them both right. The dialogue might come off as a bit childish, but there are some gems like Goofy's weird statements or other out-of-nowhere jokes. The visual gags are hilarious, too. They were quite a welcome addition.

This is a fantastic series cartoon shorts! The animation is stunning, having that classic yet new look, and the episodes in general are charming , creative and just plain fun! It might come off as childish at first glance, but I'd recommend watching at least a couple of episodes, for the animation alone.

This cartoon is unappreciated, in my opinion. It definetely deserves more attention, on this site at least. I don't hear people on the internet talk about it in general, which shouldn't be the case.

Check those out if you want to. Thank you so, so much for reading. I really, really hope you enjoyed my review of the modern Mickey Mouse cartoons. I hope you all have a wonderful day and life. See you next time! When I went to DisneyWorld last Summer, there was a channel that strictly played these and nothing else. So I grew to like the show a lot.

Mickey Mouse (2013) Review

Mickey Mouse, a character so integral to the Disney brand that the company is sometimes called the Mouse House, first appeared alongside Minnie in Steamboat Willie on November 18, and has appeared in countless iterations since appearing across dozens of movies and TV shows and appearing on everything from watches to videogames to works of art. Though Mickey may be one of the most instantly recognizable characters in the history of cartoons, he has had a number of image changes across nine decades as he has evolved from black and white to colour to CGI. Though Steamboat Willie was the third Mickey Mouse cartoon to be produced, it was the first to feature synchronised sound and the first to be publicly screened, as Walt Disney himself realised that sound was the future after seeing first "talkie" The Jazz Singer. The eight-minute short established the classic Mickey look, but the character's white gloves do not appear until the following year. Mickey was an instant success for creator Walt Disney. By , the same year Disney won an honorary Oscar for creating the character, The Mickey Mouse Club had one million members.

From the second season of his new run of animated shorts, Fire Escape is a great episode filled with call-backs to the classic Mickey Mouse shorts.
