User reviews 10 Review. Top review. Way Over the Top. Obviously, it is always about the mice getting the upper hand and Tom bringing much of it upon himself. Here, however, the cruelty goes way beyond. Tom guards the king and is on a short leash which eventually proves his undoing. Jerry and his little sidekick wreak havoc on the poor guy. I suppose you could say he gets battered so often that the ending should be just another silly bit, but it doesn't appear that way. The violence is creative and the animation superb, but it's a harsh cartoon.

The plot of this Tom And Jerry cartoon is that Tom is tasked with guarding the French King's banquet table and all seems to be going swimmingly that is until Jerry and his friend Nibbles show up looking for some food. Doing the animation for this film are the animators Irven Spence , Ed Barge and Kenneth Muse who I really feel did a good job with the animation in this cartoon. As you can all work out by the title of this cartoon the name of this cartoon is a play on The Three Musketeers however apart from parodying the title and having this cartoon being set in seventeenth centaury France this cartoon has nothing really in common with Alexandre Dumas novel. Now then boys and girls i've been giving this cartoon alot of praise but there are a few things that I personally didn't like with the first thing being the fact that for a Tom And Jerry cartoon that features alot of food this cartoon is pretty freaking tame and the fact that this cartoon makes Jerry and Nibbles out to be the villains. Now I can handle the lack of extreme violence that's in this cartoon simply due to how this cartoon ends however that is still an issue for me personally however I cannot ignore the fact that Jerry and Nibbles are being portrayed as the bad guys in this cartoon since neither Jerry nor Nibbles are bad guys they just like to have fun and so having them be the straight up bad guys is out of character for both characters but that's just what I think and that's just in my very humble and as well as being in my very honest opinion anyways. Now then boys and girls you see when I said that this cartoon was dark as all heck I really did mean because the ending to this cartoon is super freaking dark.

There aren't many cartoon series that are older or more enduring than Tom and Jerry. From the early s to the late s — the quintessential era of lushly animated, beautifully scored short cartoons that screened in movie theaters before a film — a grey cat named Tom and a brown mouse named Jerry fought each other to the near-death dozens of times. Well, Tom was a cat, and Jerry was a mouse. It's the natural order of things. Also, Jerry was much smarter than Tom and tended to always foil the cat's plots and inflict just as much violence in return or more.

The Two Mouseketeers is a Tom and Jerry cartoon. The cartoon opens with the male chorus singing " Soldiers of Fortune " throughout the credits. D'Artagnan and Aramis are two mouseketeers who decide to help themselves to a lavish banquet, which a servant has been ordered to guard by Captain Rochefort and Sir Girard. But should he fail in doing so, Tom will be executed by beheading from the guillotine. Jerry and Nibbles enter the castle hall through a stained glass window, through a suit of armor, and by parachuting down to the table. They unsuspectingly catch Tom's attention by showering him with champagne. Later, Nibbles is helping himself to some of the food while singing Alouette to himself, when Tom emerges behind him and pokes him with his sword.

Nibbles also known as Tuffy is a fictional character from the Tom and Jerry cartoon series. The character's first actual appearance came in the comic book Our Gang Comics 1, where despite his nappy, he was presented as a peer of Jerry rather than a younger individual. Tuffy was created by Gaylord Du Bois. In the comics, the gray mouse's name was given as Tuffy Mouse from the start.
