Cinderella is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Productions ' 12th animated feature film Cinderella In the original film, Cinderella is voiced by American singer and actress Ilene Woods. For the sequels and subsequent film and television appearances, Woods was replaced by American actresses Jennifer Hale and Tami Tappan, who provide the character's speaking and singing voices. In the wake of her father's untimely demise, Cinderella is left in the care of her cruel stepmother and jealous stepsisters, who constantly mistreat her, forcing Cinderella to work as a scullery maid in her own home. When Prince Charming holds a ball, the evil stepmother does not allow her to go. Cinderella, aided by her kind Fairy Godmother and equipped with a beautiful silver gown and a unique pair of glass slippers, attends, only to have to leave at midnight when the Fairy Godmother's spell is broken.

But in the actual film, it shows 2 white horses pulling the carriage as it was decided the prince who was cursed as a mouse couldn't change form.
User reviews 21 Review. Top review. Nice ideas but execution is lacking. The story starts out just like Disney's Cinderella : there is a royal ball, Cinderella is forbidden to go by the evil step mother, she is helped by her mice friends, gets magical help and goes to the ball.
But the prince turns out to be an imposter, while the real prince is under a curse, that Cinderella decides to help to break. The idea is nice, but the execution is not great. The pace of the action scenes feels off, the scenes go from slow to big action to slow again without warning, which is the biggest problem for me.
I wasn't surprised by the plot twists but I suppose kids will be. And finally the ending is really abrupt, it left me with a feeling that the movie was incomplete. Not because the situation the characters are in is dissatisfying but the narration is really bad and makes it seem worse than it is. Overall, the story had potential but the final product is not as good as it could have been.

A summer exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art is peeking behind lens of iconic Disney animated movies to reveal how the magic is made. Presented in partnership with longtime Walt Disney Animation Studios artist and Disney legend Andreas Deja, the exhibit is on display now and runs through September 4. According to a release, Deja oversaw the creative development of such memorable characters as the villainous Gaston in Beauty and the Beast , Jafar in Aladdin , and Scar in The Lion King. A concurrent exhibit at the museum displays more of Deja's original works, including independent projects such as an upcoming short film Mushka "about a young girl and her tiger, animated in a colored pencil style," the release describes. While the exhibit is on view, the Arlington Museum of Art is also conducting related programs, events, and activities for children and adults — including a Disney animated film series.

More than that, many of these films make changes to Cinderella herself, whether by lessening or removing her romantic interests, injecting social or political conflicts for her to resolve, or just by nudging her personality to one extreme or another. This was meant as an observation, not a criticism; even the most fascinating of heroes and heroines benefit from having other characters to bounce off and to provide complements and contrasts. Princess Aurora of Sleeping Beauty may be older, but the very nature of that story means that the sleeping beauty is the stakes, not the protagonist — hence the three good fairies.
