She's even had guys move closer to her for her test results! She's popular The place where her life will be set, where hormones run rampant and love is thick in the air! Her every simulation has been flawless! And soon, she will be a real high school girl We enter spring, and our unpopular girl Has not spoken to a fellow student in two months It's a rageful opening that kind of reminds me of Death Note's opening. Oh lord, will our protagonist turn into a killer?

I was sold a coming-of-life story, dammit, not an ending-other-lives one! But she still has time to get guy friends, right? No need to panic Our protagonist hears some girls talking and being friendly with one another, and she kind of loses her shit, diving into vicious disdain for other humans.

Yeah this is gonna be like watching a bizarro girl version of my teenage years, isn't it. While our protagonist, of the family Kuroki, thinks she'll catch lots of guys' attention by acing the midterms coming up. You really don't get how this works, do you? Also, her mental image of herself is of someone far better rested, taller, not malnourished, and with clean not-greasy hair.

Just saying that. And on her way out, the two normal girls are talking with boyfriends or at least friend boys about studying together at a restaurant.

And a girl and her own boyfriend are talking about ditching their cram school, or at least meeting up after And then at the edge of the campus, the teacher wishes her well getting home Aaand there goes all that cruel but competent image she had built up. Now she's just awkward and nervous and kind of freaking out.

Thus does she bolt, running all the way home. She couldn't even get the word 'goodbye' out of her mouth, after two months of silence. She despairs And then, a voice calls out for her, and we get the name Tomoko. But who wants our poor nerd girl? Seems to be her mother, who's off to the store. Tomoko requests pork, and while her mother's off, Tomoko soothes her woes with coffee.

Or she'll end up a total hikkikimori! But how? This conversation is going perfectly Now, rub the naked boy's back until the meter fills But then she throws her DS in frustration seriously it's totally a DS , and dammit all Cute, aaaand the image just does not work, to the point that she ends up vomiting.

Or maybe it was just from seeing her own face, and how bad it's gotten, for the first time in a long time. But if she's not ugly, then why is she failing?! Is it because she's a late bloomer, still short and kind of flat? No, there are plenty of guys into that! Her eyes,clouded by stress and bagged with lack of sleep! As you can imagine, blindly trying a thousand monkey's attempts at shakespeare gets you pooped on, and Tomoko is more of a horror creature than a cute girl. Thus, does she despair. Tomoko decides focusing on appearance was a bad idea, so she tries to get her conversational nature back What the hell are you doing in here Tomoko?
