For detailed information about this series, visit the Witch Craft Works Wiki. The story focuses on Honoka Takamiya, a young student with a normal life, who is involved in different conflicts with witches, being saved by his classmate, Ayaka Kagari. Eventually, Honoka discovers that much of her academy is full of witches, and that even her little sister is one of them.
Characters such as witches, are usually building level, moving at subsonic or similar speeds. At the highest level, a witch arrives at city block level, and have different abilities, such as spatial manipulation, summoning, flight, manipulation of fire or heat, depending on the character, and characters like Evermillion or Honoka can resurrect, or manipulate life.

The basic premise of Witch Craft Works is similar to that of a shounen harem comedy , where the generic male lead, Honoka Takamiya, is surrounded by females all wanting him for reasons we cannot possibly fathom because he is so bland in character. It is through this lens that the true magic of the series blossoms. The most obvious clue that Takemiya is our would-be heroine lies in the fact that Kagari calls him her princess, swearing to protect him from harm. However, the series drops a few hints prior to this event, including the visual cue of flowers and sparkles that surround Kagari above.

Weekend decides to have Honoka healed and acknowledges her defeat, shortly before running into Chronoire.

Takamiya Honoka is a regular student whose only problem seems to be that he sits next to Kagari Ayaka, the school's 1 beauty. They have never spoken to each other before and any small interaction between them immediately results in her fanclub beating him. Yet when a falling part of the school's building is about to send him to the afterlife, it's Kagari that comes to his rescue. Kagari tells him it is her mission to protect him and that now she can finally protect him openly rather than undercover.

I discovered this anime by a crazy random happenstance last summer as I was browsing for something to watch. What I love about this show is that it is a total trope reversal! Tropes are common stereotypes you find in TV land such as how people are always extremely dumb in horror movies See TV Tropes for more! Quick warning, you could get lost on that site forever! Kagari has to save him quite a bit in the show and this gender reversal is quite refreshing! The romantic nature of the show is very sweet as well with Kagari showing her affection in rather unusual ways. I highly recommend Witchcraft Works to anyone who is looking for something a bit different but with minimal time commitment.

Honoka Takamiya sits next to his high school's "Princess," the exceptionally intelligent but seemingly very aloof Ayaka Kagari, and he doesn't know her at all: anybody who gets anywhere near her gets beaten up by her rather overprotective "fan club. He's attacked by a group who call themselves the "Tower Witches," only to be saved by a "Workshop Witch" Out of a sense of debt to her, Honoka decides to ask her to let him become her apprentice.

Ayaka was tall, striking, and gorgeous, and her regal look almost exuded a royal air. Although studying close to each other in school, the whole school year, the two never talked much … until today. So today when class ended, Takamiya was suddenly attacked by a cat-eared witch and her group of thugs dressed as rabbits! Mizunagi launched the manga in Kodansha, Good!

Synonyms: Witchcraft Works. Takamiya is a guy that lives an unfair life. The morning commute to school has him pressed tightly up against the window of a bus as twenty or more girls fawn over another girl whom they affectionately call Princess. All the girls in this show appear to be eternally in heat when the Princess, Ayaka Kagari, appears on screen; before then they are normal high school girls, and that the drop of a hat they change into these carnal girls weepy with love. Takamiya sits in class directly next to Kagari and must suffer a long swirling line of girls around the classroom and practically pushing him from his desk to get a word in with Kagari. Takamiya truly lives a pitiful life.
