On his high school graduation day, Itsuki's cousin, Mahiru, tells him that she's pregnant. Just then, a gate of light emerges and transports the two into the world of Granvania. In this land, "Impurities" have been causing a disturbance to the Stars, ultimately plunging Granvania into chaos and disorder. And Itsuki, now revealed to be one who is fated to meet with the "Star Maidens", is seen as Granvania's last hope and was thus given the task to produce "Star Children" and combat the "impurities".

Conception Season 2: Premiere Date, Characters, Plot
Conception was that title in the Autumn season. But that is more because of the sheer weirdness of some of what happens. Conception does a couple of things right. Things that make viewing a poorly scripted, comedy that relies heavily on innuendo and smut jokes to carry episode, something that still seems to hint at being better than it actually is. One thing it manages is pacing. Just when the comedy elements or the dating the star maiden parts became a little too much, this anime would dangle the story about the labyrinth and fighting the impurities in front of the viewer.
By cycling through the different aspects of the show and making sure they never stayed absent too long, no matter what drew a viewer to the anime, just when they got to a point where they might drop it that part of the story would come back. It is probably just as well given the age of some of these characters and just how weird that would be for all the maidens to happily get along, but the anime does everything but actual sex and it sure implies intimacy so for some people there will still be more than enough reason to walk away.
Some of it is kind of amusing but most of it is the eye-roll worthy kind of humour where the writing seems to think it is more clever than it is. Itsuki himself is about as bland a protagonist as any isekai power fantasy protagonist. Though, he seems even more dense at times. But, the worst part of this anime goes straight to Mana as a character. She most definitely gets the title for the single worst character and most annoying creature of the entirety of All and all, I really regret not dropping this.
Or, use one of my product affiliate links. Yeah, that bachelor episode was a disaster. Thy could have done a lot more with it, but even the dungeon stuff was boring. They all wonder into the dungeon defeat the impurity and back to seducing the maidens. Some of the comedy was funny, but not nearly enough and if you came for the lewdness, I think that failed too. So many better shows in this genre that it best to completely avoid. I think part of what kept me watching was the question of whether it could get worse or not and amazingly they actually succeeded at getting worse as the series went on as the just kept pushing it.

The first of the two fanservice videogame anime adaptions of the season has now started. The obvious purpose of this anime is to help promote the PS4 remaster which comes out in Japan next year. While the second game was released here in english the first never was and since it is getting this PS4 release it is highly likely that will eventually get an english release. Since there is a high chance the actual game will release in english that means watching this show will be a conflicting problem. Naturally by watching it you will be semi spoiling yourself of the game before getting the chance to play it. Though avoiding the dialog and not even hearing this show is something you probably really want to do and for more reasons then you think…. The start of the show begins with various silhouettes of the girls in the show in various positions.

Man this show was a trip! A lot happens, too much in-fact, in a more reasonably paced anime the events of this episode would have taken place over two episodes and less time over the previous episodes would have been spent on Alfie. Itsuki and Maihiru are about to enter the portal to return home when the star maidens arrive to see him off and give him some parting gifts. Well obviously how is Alfie alive for one?!
