The recent announcement of Trigun: Stampede has certainly been big news in the anime world , and the new series is set to be one of the biggest events of the year. Returning to the world of the classic manga with a strikingly new art style and the full involvement of original creator Yasuhiro Nightow, new details on the project have been shown at Anime Expo which reveal that Trigun: Stampede will be taking the franchise in an exciting new direction. The producers at the panel mentioned that rendering the aesthetic of the original 2D animation into the technology of CGI is of their utmost importance, and that the style of both the original Trigun manga and anime as well as classic 2D Disney animation were huge inspirations for adapting the world into this new medium. Likewise, the producers stress that this technology is intended to facilitate a sort of return to classic 80s and 90s action anime, capturing the grit and essence of classics like Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell , not to mention the original Trigun itself. After showing off some promotional art, the real climax of the panel began: an official trailer for the new series. First streamed to the massive applause of the convention room, the new trailer has since been made publicly available by Crunchyroll:.

A Homunculus is an artificially created human, presumably brought into existence by certain means of alchemy. Though a common concept, well known and understood by alchemists in Amestris , the idea of the Homunculus is regarded as no more than a farce or faraway fantasy as no individual or group of alchemists has come anywhere close to successfully creating such a being in officially recorded history. However, off the official record, not only one but several of these creatures have been created in arcane, sinister secrecy. These Homunculi are the main antagonists of the Fullmetal Alchemist series, each carrying the mark of the Ouroboros upon their bodies and named after the seven deadly sins: Pride , Lust , Greed , Gluttony , Wrath , Sloth , and Envy. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an action fantasy series with a complex and exciting plot revolving around the arcane laws of alchemy, civil war, shadowy schemes, Homunculi, and more, and the anime had more than a few shocking twists and turns to keep first-time viewers guessing. Many of these moments are still talked about to this day. Before long, they're swept up into a grand scheme of world domination and make many surprising allies and enemies along the way.

On that self same day Shou passed the exam to join the State Alchemy program , becoming the Sowing Life Alchemist and giving him financial security and stability, as long as he continued to show his brilliance. Following an interrogation by the Fullmetal Alchemist it was finally uncovered that he had in fact used his wife in the original chimera, meaning that with only animal subjects he could never achieve a talking chimera. Unlike the others who have manipulated, snarked at and not cared about their offspring, Shou used his own daughter in an attempt to stay a state licensed alchemist.
