Meet your numerous cast and crew members and maybe find love in the process! Who knows what can happen? The show has a very bright colour palette.
What do I mean by that? The show somehow releases a tone of energy that I have never really felt from any other show this season. It could be because of the art, or music, or the characters. Maybe a combination of the three. KyoAni has done a number of things I would have not thought possible.
Well, two major things come to mind. A kiss scene. And a fanservice scene. Well, two. Especially in the RomCom genre. The main character, Seiya Kanie, is, unsurprisingly, a high school student who is, unsurprisingly, forced into an outrageous situation by, unsurprisingly, a stoic classmate who happens to be from another world and, unsurprisingly, also serves as a potential love interest.
Hell…talk about by the book. Characters are still barely developed and have, rather unfortunately, settled into the cozy hole of stereotypes. I hope the show will do so in the upcoming episodes.
The problem is, the plot is the only thing that is driving this show forward as it lacks a sense of direction without it.
So the plot, characters, or jokes need to step up. One thing I do like is the variations between slapstick and subtle comedy. Episodes 1 and 3 does this very well.
I am loving the OP and ED and helps a lot in setting the tone of the show. The comedy is good and I like the setting and tone it delivers. However, Amagi Brilliant Park has not played their anti-conformist characters to their full potential and I can only hope they will soon.

Kanie Seiya, an extremely narcissistic human being, is asked on a date by Sento Isuzu to an amusement park. At gun point. Right from the start it is obvious that this anime is more interested in setting up punch lines than in delivering quality characters or plot developments. The whole saving the park thing really does become setting more than an actual driver of tension throughout the series. And while many of the jokes and punchlines are repetitive and flat, this show still somehow manages to make it work.

Amagi Brilliant Park was well, uhh brilliant. I think in terms of overall quality, it might have been the most consistent show in Granted, the drama over Latifa and her memories was unnecessary, but eh, what can you do. I am not going to bother sorting this anime into memorable or most memorable and instead, I will just list things. The job interviews sketch was funny because they were basically accepting everyone and anyone. It was also pretty shocking because Bandou showed up near dead with her psyco older brother hot on her heels. It was an unexpected, very crazy scene.

New season and new anime. He has to give the award to something new and not to another long-running franchise…. This is how a good adventure anime should be. The comparisons to Pirates of the Caribbean only made more sense after episode 4 basically was a Pirates anime. Although to bring a more anime example to the table, its adventure story focus of starting on a small scale while hinting at something much bigger that it will slowly build to over the course of the series reminds me of Last Exile.
