Sk8 The Infinity is a fun sports anime anyone can enjoy. It's filled with wonderful characters who fans can't help but fall in love with, although some characters leave a lot to be desired.

But with so many to choose from, it can be hard to figure out who's the best. One redhead stands out in the crowd. Reki, a carefree high schooler, is a wholesome boy with a passion for skating. He's always putting others first, sometimes to a fault. With such a positive aura , it's hard for fans not to smile whenever he's on-screen. One of Reki's best qualities is his passion.

Whenever this boy starts talking about something he loves, his entire face lights up. When it comes to skating, it's obvious just how much Reki enjoys the sport.

Every time he is riding, hearts gleam in his eye s. The sheer joy that radiates from him whenever he lands a trick can be felt through a screen. Reki's enthusiasm for skating even transfers to others, making everyone around him, including the viewers, want to pick up a board.

Though Reki's greatest love might be skating, he has many other skills, too. One of the most obvious is his creative side. Reki is a talented artist who's shown drawing throughout the show. In one scene, a group of his schoolmates is asking him about his injuries and teasing him. Reki doesn't pay much attention to their hassling until one shows interest in what he's drawing. Reki lights up, with literal hearts filling his eyes. Seeing Reki so overjoyed by someone showing interest in his work proves just how wholesome his character is.

After a blue-haired boy from Canada joins the class, Reki takes an interest in him. He talks to the new student after school, learning that his name is Langa and he's looking for a job. Reki tells him the skate shop he works at is hiring.

The two are then tasked with delivering a board. When Reki accidentally brings the wrong one, he's forced into a race. Langa, intrigued by the sport, offers to take his place. Reki's surprised by this since he could barely stand on a skateboard earlier that day.

After Langa wins the race, Reki beams with excitement at his new friend's potential and offers to teach him how to properly skate. Reki and Langa quickly grow close. He learns that Langa was once a gifted snowboarder but quit after the death of his father. This explains why Langa had taped his feet to his board during the first race.

Wanting to show Langa his support and encourage him to keep skating, Reki decides to make him a custom board. He specially designs it with foot straps to give Langa the same comfort he had while snowboarding. He also uses his artistic talents to create a cute snow monster design which Langa loves. After learning about Langa's unbelievable win, Miya, a talented middle schooler who is set on joining Japan's national team, challenges him to a race.

Langa easily wins the race, leaving Miya feeling defeated. Reki sees this and notices how lonely Miya appears. After learning about the isolation and bullying Miya receives from his schoolmates, Reki feels bad for him and offers to be his friend.

Even after Miya had been rude towards him, Reki shows him affection proving just how genuine and kind he really is. Immediately after Miya's loss, Adam, the champion of the track, arrives. He belittles Miya and expresses his fondness for the new talent, Langa. Seeing the hurt this causes his new friend Miya, Reki confronts Adam and demands he apologize. He then challenges Adam to a beef to show support for Miya. Even with everyone telling Reki he should back out, he refuses, not wanting to disappoint Miya.

Once again, this shows Reki's willingness to do anything for his friends—even ones he's just met. After a series of events leads Reki to doubt himself, he lashes out and tells Langa he no longer wants to be his friend. During this time Langa is preparing for a tournament. It's an important race and Reki knows he should be there but is struggling with his lack of confidence and jealousy of Langa's talent.

However, he overcomes this and makes it to the track just in time. As Langa races against Joe, he begins to forget why he's even competing. He's about to quit when he sees Reki in the crowd cheering him on. His passion sparked , he remembers why he's there and wins the race. After some self-reflection and a weird incident in a love hotel, Reki remembers the real reason he loves skating. It isn't because he's talented or wants to be the best. He just loves skating with his friends.

Once he realizes this, he goes to the skate park in hopes of finding Langa. Sure enough, the blue-haired boy is there. Reki apologizes to him, explaining how he was feeling inadequate.

After Langa encourages him to keep skating, the two make up and promise each other that they'll skate together forever. During the tournament, Adam has Reki replace Shadow as his competitor. Reki agrees and the two begin a dangerous race. Even during this tense moment, Reki appears to be having the time of his life. He uses tricks inspired by Langa and even takes advantage of the rain with his special water-resistant wheels to get ahead.

Unfortunately, one of these wheels breaks, causing him to lose the competition. But it doesn't matter; the crowd goes wild with excitement at Reki's amazing race. The energy radiating from him is felt through everyone, even the audience. In the final episode, Langa is up against Adam in the most dangerous race yet.

While on a steep and rocky course, Adam pulls Langa into a trance where he can only focus on skating. He begins to lose sight of why he's there, falling farther and farther behind. When he suddenly crashes, he sees the word "fun" written on his board in Reki's handwriting. This reminds Langa why he's skating in the first place, rescuing him from Adam's manipulation. Langa reminds Adam that skating isn't meant for being the best, but for having fun.

Because of Reki's encouragement, Langa wins the race. Read Next in anime.
