Togo animated movie

Ripped from US history, Togo has more of a narrative urgency than Call. In , the small town of Nome, Alaska is hit by an epidemic topical , this time an outbreak of diphtheria. The nearest anti-toxins are over miles away and, with train travel impossible and aircraft delivery too dangerous, the town looks to Norwegian-American dog breeder and musher Leonhard Seppala Dafoe, sporting a fur coat to rival Mark Morrison to undertake the journey via sledding dogs led by his trusty mutt, 12 year-old Togo. The film is at its best when it concentrates on the race, featuring exciting set-pieces such as Seppala and his dogs barrelling uncontrollably towards a cliff face and a perilous run across the cracking ice of the Norton Sound.

Eligible info. Based on an incredible true story, Balto is a dazzling animated adventure about one of the most courageous canines of all time. Part husky and part wolf, Balto isn't sure where he belongs in the wilds of Alaska. But when a serious diphtheria epidemic spreads fast among the children of Nome, it's up to the brave Balto and his friends to rescue a team of sled dogs lost in a blinding Arctic storm and carrying the much-needed anti-toxin. Starring the incredible voice talents of Kevin Bacon, Bridget Fonda, Bob Hoskins and Phil Collins, it's a remarkable tale of a hero who inspired a nation and became a legend!

Original Title - Balto. Balto is a based on actual events told in an animated format that may not be that accurate, this fact-based cartoon will not only entertain the children, it will also inspire. Although this film is based on a true story, there many differences between this movie and the actual event. For instance: Balto is actually a Siberian husky, not wolf-dog hybrid.

Also, the sled run to get the medicine was actually a relay. There are moments of comedic cartoonish dialogue that was used again and again and again.

The film deliver's such surprising comedy, especially from Boris the goose voiced by Bob Hoskins and Luk and Muk the young polar bears voiced by Phil Collins. Even the Steele brings some amusing comedy without even trying to be actually funny. The fantastic animation lives up to it's full potential of a rousing fun hand drawn cartoon.

Simon Wells directed this movie and the way he scripted the suspense, tension, action, drama, and comedy; and how were they performed is very motivating and is tenacious enough to never loose focus on grabbing the attention of any sensibility.

The music score by James Horner brings emotion in this film that will capture the ear's attention, especially with thrilling action because of the frantic direction of the music and usually the snare drum. The film has delightful messages about helping others and not judging anyone because of their appearances. Kids will not know the difference between what's true and what's false about the story when they do see the film, so for recommendation: it's worth a rental.

For those armchair directors upset because the dogs didn't talk in real life like they did in the movie, you should get over it. The reason Balto got more attention than the other dogs on other legs of the journey was because the team actually did get lost, and Balto scented the way home in 50mph winds, so it's not just because he showed up at the end, but because the team would have been lost in the blizzard, along with the medicine and most of those real children would have died before replacement medicine got through.

Also, for the reality sticklers, Phil Collins really is just two polar bears in a suit, you can ask him yourself. This is a fake movie based on a,"true story". Here is the actual story Nome, Alaska during has an outbreak in diphtheria. A man leads his sled of dogs led by Togo, a fast and awardwinning dog, through a blizzard to get the curing serum.

Along the way, he runs into somebody and learns that the government arranged a relay. Togo was 12 years old and ran miles. Most of the other dogs only ran 31 ms. Balto just happened to run the finalstretch and earned the fame. Just watch the movie Togo. Balto II: Wolf Quest. Eight Below.

Brother Bear. Disneynature: Bears. White Fang. Snow Dogs. Despicable Me. Despicable Me 3. The Secret Life of Pets.

The film, written by Tom Flynn and directed by Ericson Core, is based on the true story of a serum run to Nome, Alaska. However, once a deadly epidemic strikes Nome, Leonhard and the now-aging Togo are tasked with risking death to retrieve the cure from miles away. RELATED STORIES

Balto is probably the first name to come to mind, thanks in large part to an animated movie of the same name from the '90s. Both Balto and Togo were part of the serum run to Nome, Alaska, where a diphtheria outbreak plagued the town's children. With the port closed and inclement weather making any other method of transportation impossible, Nome's only hope was its dog sled team. Balto ran the final leg of the run, while Togo led the team over the longest and most treacherous stretch of the mile journey.

Director — Ericson Core Point Break. Plot — The true story of famed Alaskan sled dog Togo and his owner Leonhard Seppala Dafoe who sent out on a daring serum run across the storm clad lands to help save a small town from a deadly disease. A beautiful movie, I can only imagine it being a classic for many decades to come, it did not get the publicity it deserves in my opinion, thanks for the fair review. Totally agree.

The scenes are all the more impressive because they were actually shot on location in the great white North of the Canadian wilderness Alberta —not in a green-screened studio. For the adventurous people who made this film, it was quite an impressive sandbox to be playing in. But it was fantastic!
