On April 10, , it was announced that the skate will be included as a bonus in Volume 6 of the Yuri!!! Otabek Altin appears in Yuri's exhibition skate, but not skating with the latter unlike how Victor skates together in Yuri Katsuki 's exhibition skate [1] instead standing in the rink at the side. Otabek assists in pulling off Yuri's gloves - the right glove using his hands and the left glove using his teeth. He also assists at the end by "shooting" at Yuri with a finger gun, and Yuri sprawls intentionally on the rink as if shot dead.

Worse, even though the writing is technically good and the main character interesting, the book is flat-out stupid.

The society in the previous book has blockchain based finance and communications thus computers , antigravity, a space elevator, space shuttles, and a gigantic space station in some kind of Lagrange point. For some reason, the Kingdoms around which this book centers are basically medieval.

The story is taking place in stone castles with torches. Plus, Doucette writes a murder into the plot where people with no means, motive or opportunity and who have perfect alibis are accused of the murder and are being hunted down. And then, various characters keep doing silly things during the pursuit of the "murderers.

I've looked through some of the other reviews here and, apparently, the book has three sections, and one of them is supposed to tie this book back to the previous. But, I just can't force my way through it any more to get to that point. I'll give the book a star for the technical writing. But, I'm rating it at a Bad 2 stars out of 5.

Gene Doucette is a hybrid author, albeit in a somewhat roundabout way. From through , Gene published four full-length novels Immortal, Hellenic Immortal, Fixer, and Immortal at the Edge of the World with a small indie publisher. Then, in , Gene started self-publishing novellas that were set in the same universe as the Immortal series, at which point he was a hybrid.

When the novellas Gene Doucette is a hybrid author, albeit in a somewhat roundabout way. When the novellas proved more lucrative than the novels, Gene tried self-publishing a full novel, The Spaceship Next Door, in This went well. The reprint was published in September of that year, at which point Gene was once again a hybrid author.

Since then, a number of things have happened. Publication date is May 25, Gene plans to continue writing novels for both markets traditional and self-published as long as that continues to make sense.

His most recent self-published novel is Immortal: Last Call He is currently at work on a large science fiction world-building project taking place on his Patreon site, the result of which will be a multi-novel series.

Our daughter is almost three and I have many more questions than answers about her world and my reaction to it. For example, what is her obsession with family finger videos on YouTube? Why does she insist on watching surprise egg videos on my phone any time she can? Finally, why do these videos have millions and millions of views? As far as I can tell, they were created by beings from some other dimension who have found a way to tap into 3 and 4 year old preferences on a most primal level. The egg videos work something like this. Most involve a plastic egg filled with small toys.

I would have screamed at the top of my fangirl lungs when I first saw this on twitter earlier today, but seeing as I did not want to get in trouble with the family I had to keep excitement contained! As soon as those opening cords to Welcome to the Madness played my inner fangirl went wild with anticipation. I know today is not a day I normally post something new, but being as big of a Yuri!!! Character designs were handled by Tadashi Hiramatsu, and its music was composed by Taro Umebayashi and Taku Matsushiba. This multi-functional space has so much to offer in this busy NE Minneapolis neighborhood. Created and owned by Dr Kari Boudreau, we get a chance to see where her passion lies with health and the positive creative energy she likes to provide. The Nordeast neighborhood in the past few decades has become a central hub for all sorts of talented artists. The modern community has thus blended the bustling art scene with the heritage of old architecture, which has grown to beautiful studios and business popping up all over the community. Adding a genuine and unique charm to this part of the city.

One of the major themes of Yuri on Ice as a show is the great potential that lies in figure skating as a means of self expression. However, I watched the whole thing with my jaw open because on a meta-textual level Welcome to the Madness is also a hilarious lampoon of the hyper-masculinity movement within figure skating of the late 80s and 90s. Context: For reasons too complicated to get into: post-World War II, figure skating would be largely perceived as a feminine sport, women athletes were and still are more widely celebrated than their male counterparts in terms of recognition. The most prominent examples would probably be Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko.
