Flintstones on youtube full episodes game

If "The Flintstones" had been able to devise a story as interesting as its production values, it would have been some kind of wonderful. This is a great-looking movie, a triumph of set design and special effects, creating a fantasy world halfway between suburbia and a prehistoric cartoon. The frame is filled with delightful and inventive notions, all based on the idea that modern America might somehow be reconstructed out of rocks. Just watching it is fun.

Within days, the short has already surpassed a million views and inspired fan art, Twitter trends, rampant theorizing and high hopes for a full series. For some animation fans, it hasn't left their nightmares either. The basic premise of Come and Learn with Pibby! The twisted kids' show parody is a familiar trope, from Wonder Showzen to Don't Hug Me, I'm Scared , but what makes Pibby stand out is how it plays with decades of animation history.

The glitch monster that attacks Pibby's wholesome world transports her into other cartoon realities that face the same corruption, many of which will be familiar to anyone who grew up watching Cartoon Network.

Alongside these direct crossovers from the Warner Bros. It doesn't seem like a coincidence that Adult Swim released this little over a month after Cartoon Network revamped its line-up with the preschool-focused Cartoonito block.

Little kids are one of the few demographics still watching linear TV in large numbers, as audiences migrate more and more to streaming. With that in mind, the glitch monster may be representative of the death of cable. If that's the thinking, Come and Learn with Pibby! Whether there's actually any deeper meaning to the short or if it's just expertly crafted dark humor and nostalgic fan service, it's a memorable two minutes. While it's effective as a standalone short, it also makes for a great pitch trailer for a potential series.

Dodge Greenley has said on Instagram that he hopes to make Pibby into a full series, noting that watching, commenting on and sharing the YouTube video will help convince Adult Swim to give it the full green light. Given Pibby 's growing popularity, Adult Swim would be ridiculous not to give Greenley a chance at telling the full story of this unlikely savior of the cartoon multiverse. Even if a series doesn't happen, we'll still have that clip of Fred Flintstone sliding to his doom to haunt us forever.

Sixty years after its launch, primetime TV's first animated series seems even older in some ways, surprisingly contemporary in others and still gets callbacks in today's popular culture. The classic TV gem likely still in carbon form at the time , a takeoff of Jackie Gleason's "The Honeymooners" and the longest-running primetime cartoon until overtaken by "The Simpsons," follows Fred and Wilma Flintstone, a suburban Bedrock couple with midth Century sensibilities living in 10, B. For six seasons, Fred, who operated a Brontosaurus-powered steam shovel at Mr. Slate's quarry, and neighbor Barney Rubble got into and out of rock-headed scrapes, as Wilma and Barney's wife, Betty, both smarter than their husbands, rolled their eyes.

Western cartoons are funny , and every year, the American animated movies hoisting Oscars over their heads are the ones consumed by kids and marketed for families and designed to make everyone laugh and feel good about themselves and their anthropomorphized feelings. TV shows? And with darker, heavier, more violent content, animation is starting to have its adult moment again this time without the empty inanity of Beavis and Butthead or South Park ; we'll still watch those classics, though. BoJack Horseman and Archer have proven that jaded comedies could still have a lot of heart. Series like Amazon's Undone find creative ways to illustrate challenges to mental health. And shows like Big Mouth prove that you can be every bit as disgusting as an old Eddie Murphy set while still having a lot of meaningful things to convey. All that said, we still love the older comedies and animation classics of the past. And, hey, even the toons meant for kids are still some of the best ever.
