A bond between friends of any amount can be strong when you have shared all of your interests, strengths, and weaknesses to help understand one another. Similar to how friendship is portrayed in the story, a convincing company involving people that try to fight off whatever conflicts they must face can be an emotional roller coaster of an experience. Sometimes this can be accomplished by simply adding enough time for us to take in that they have grown together as friends before the inevitable climax. At first, I loved this friendship that Noragami presented in its first season. My love for Noragami has always been for the characters. Not only did the writing serve a part in making this a reality, but also the talented voice cast honed their voices for their roles to make each character distinctive and memorable.

A episode anime television series adaptation by Bones aired from January to March A episode second season, titled Noragami Aragoto , was broadcast from October to December Hiyori Iki was a normal middle school student until she was involved in a bus accident while trying to protect a stranger. This incident causes her soul to frequently slip out of her body, and she becomes aware of the existence of two parallel worlds: the Near Shore, where regular humans and creatures reside, and the Far Shore, where demons and human souls linger.

Through her soul, she meets the strange, nameless god without a shrine, Yato. Yato is determined to make a name for himself out there by accepting any wishes for 5 yen, including Hiyori's to fix her body. Noragami is written and illustrated by Adachitoka. The Noragami television series adaptation is produced by Bones and directed by Kotaro Tamura with character designs by Toshihiro Kawamoto. Besides the television series, two additional episodes were released on DVDs bundled with limited editions of the 10th and 11th manga volumes, published February 17 and July 17, Funimation licensed the anime for streaming in North America.

The first season had 12 episodes that aired in Noragami: Aragoto shares many similarities with the first one, but it has 24 episodes in total from October to December. Just as Yato, Noragami is a lighthearted anime series.

Noragami has successfully given us two seasons with many twists and painful memories of our all-time favorite, Yato. What kind of god will emerge out of Ebisu? How will Izanami take revenge? Last but not least, will Yato free Hiyori? The anime series adaption premiered in January The anime is fun to watch as it has both the elements of humor and action. Although in Season 2, the sequel was a little boring, fans are still waiting for Noragami Season 3. In the case of Noragami, the source material is manga. Noragami is an anime based on the adventures of an up and coming God called Yato without a single shrine to his name and a schoolgirl — Hiyori — who changes his fortunes forever. This anime is appropriately based in a country with supposed mental health issues linked to its high suicide rates, while potentially aimed at an audience who can relate to the circumstances depicted. It is based on a religion ingrained into the Japanese culture that is strongly tied to elements of spirituality. People are very unhappy nowadays in what is becoming a very atheist world in many parts.

Now firmly in his dad's clutches, Yato agrees to delve into the underworld to rescue a conjurer. The underworld is a bad place, absolutely crawling with phantoms, but Yato and Nora manage to dispatch them without too many problems. The conjurer turns out to be Ebisu , who's on a quest to obtain something from the underworld's head honcho, a goddess named Izanami. Yato cuts his way to where she lives, but upon arriving in the goddess's chamber, he encounters something unexpected — Hiyori. You see, Izanami is a doppelganger of sorts. She takes on the form of whoever you're most comfortable with in order to get you to stay with her forever and ease her loneliness.
