Armin was one of the most important soldiers in the Survey Corps. He was incredibly intelligent and not only figured out the identities of the Female, Colossal, and Armored Titans, but also came up with many strategies that his comrades used to defeat their opponents. Though there are a lot of characters that are much stronger than Armin in Attack on Titan , that doesn't mean that he hasn't had his fair share of fights. In fact, he won most of the battles he fought in.

Armin's brilliant and strategic mind made his confrontations exciting to watch. They broke into the Underground Chapel and used smoke to hide from their enemies as they fought. Armin and Sasha worked together to shoot their enemies from afar as they watched their other comrades fight in close range. Although Armin didn't fight as much as his comrades in this battle, he still played an important role in it — especially since he learned about their gear and weapons, letting his friends know what to expect.

Armin's knowledge of the Anti-Personnel Control Squad's weaknesses helped his comrades defeat many of their enemies. At one point during the battle, Conny almost got shot. Sasha was able to save him since Armin advised Conny to hide in the smoke, as he was visible to the Anti-Personnel Control Squad.

Because of his intelligence and assisting his team from the side, the Survey Corps was able to force the Anti-Personnel Control Squad to retreat while they all survived. Only Hange was injured. They had to fight the Jaegerists in order to get to Eren as quickly as possible. Although Armin initially tried to trick the Jaegerists to avoid bloodshed, a battle broke out between the three military groups.

Armin and those he teamed up with were considered traitors by his former friends , as the Jaegerists believed that if he were to stop Eren, Paradis would be destroyed by the other nations of the world. Armin and his comrades fought back against the Jaegerists , defeating many of them. As they escaped, Theo and Keith, who'd trained the warriors and soldiers, made sure their enemies wouldn't catch up.

However, Floch secretly snuck onto the ship that the Survey Corps and Warrior Unit took, waiting for another opportunity to delay his enemies. He ended up shooting the flying boat that they'd use to reach Eren. Mikasa killed Floch immediately afterward and Hange sacrificed their life in order to give their comrades another chance at saving the world. Though Armin didn't play a huge role in the battle against the Jaegerists, he helped out however he could and became the commander of the Survey Corps.

When the Titans invaded Trost District, Armin and his comrades from the th Cadet Corps barely had any experience when it came to actually fighting their predators, but it didn't matter. Even though they hadn't even chosen which branch of the military they would join yet, they had to fight back and save the citizens in the district.

Armin led his friends in one of the fights during this battle, coming up with a plan in which seven soldiers would kill seven titans at the same time. Armin's plan to lure the seven Titans that threatened his friends in the same area so they could all be defeated at the same time worked.

He and most of the soldiers with him used themselves as bait to get the titans to come closer, while Mikasa, Annie, Reiner, Bertholdt, Conny, Sasha, and Jean waited for the right moment to strike.

Although Conny and Sasha failed to kill their two Titan targets, Mikasa and Annie were quick to come to their rescue and finish the job. Because of Armin's plan, the soldiers won the fight. In Shiganshina, Armin and Eren teamed up to defeat Bertholdt. Armin tried speaking to his former friend at first, but upon learning that the warriors wouldn't back down unless Eren joined them and everyone else in Paradis died, Armin knew they'd have to fight. Armin had Eren pretend he was too weak to fight and fall off the wall, causing Bertholdt to focus on Armin.

While the Colossal Titan was distracted, Eren hardened the wall he made in Shiganshina years prior, giving the Eldians their land back.

He then left his Titan body, ready to take Bertholdt down once and for all. Armin was willing to sacrifice his life if it meant taking Bertholdt down. He allowed his former friend to burn him alive as Eren snuck around him. Once Bertholdt thought he finished Armin off and there was no one to fight, Eren pulled him out of the Colossal Titan. Levi chose to use the Titan serum Kenny gave to him to save Armin's life.

Armin went into the coordinate, where he met with Zeke. Together, they were able to stop Eren's control of the past Titan Shifters and bring an end to the Rumbling.

With Eren himself being the only enemy left to fight, Armin, who had gotten out of the coordinate, worked with his comrades to defeat the man that was once his best friend. Armin used his Colossal Titan to fight against Eren as his comrades assisted him. The two of them fought well against each other until Mikasa was able to get inside of Eren's mouth. She decapitated Eren from inside his Titan mouth, ending the life of the person she loved most.

Luckily, Eren's friends received a memory of him that he'd taken. In Armin's memory, the two of them were able to speak one last time as they explored the world together.

Armin understood that Eren killed the majority of the human race for him and their other friends, and devoted his life to maintaining peace around the world. Read Next in anime.

This article is about the 73rd episode of the Attack on Titan anime. For the manga chapter of the same name, see Savagery Chapter. Armin questions Eren over attacking Liberio. Eren declares that he chose to do so of his own free will, though Mikasa disagrees, believing that he is being manipulated. Angered, he begins chastising the two for lacking freedom: Armin for being manipulated by Bertholdt Hoover 's memories, and Mikasa for her Ackermann heritage. Speaking in disgust, Eren tells Mikasa that he has always hated her.

Armin takes notice of how the Colossal Titan seems to show signs of fatigue and he thinks back to Hange's Titan experiments with Eren.

Eren Yaeger isn't your typical anime protagonist. Since Attack on Titan season 4 began, the all-grown-up Eren has manipulated a young boy, decimated a town full of innocent families, gotten one of his closest friends killed, instigated a coup, and finally begun a genocidal, Colossal Titan-led march to wipe out the whole planet except for his friends. But Eren's most heinous crime comes during the long-awaited confrontation between Eren and the two people he loves most - Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert. During this interaction, Eren cruelly accuses Mikasa of being biologically attached to him. The Ackerman clan was genetically engineered to protect members of the royal family, and when that latent power awakens, they have no choice but to obey according to Eren. Eren also claims that fellow Attack On Titan protagonist Mikasa Ackerman blindly follows him around because he triggered her initial transformation back when her parents were killed, and now she's compelled to serve him. Given how close Eren and Mikasa have always been, this brutal dressing-down is one of the most shocking moments in Attack on Titan history, but why does Eren do it? Eren hates Mikasa's supposed lack of free will and claims he always hated her for having no freedom. Eren points to Mikasa's headaches as proof her Ackerman bloodline is all that's keeping them together.

Why Did Eren Attack Mikasa? Why Did The Hero Turn Evil?
