There are a lot of spooky ways to pass the time until October 31 rolls around this year. And what better way to spend the month of October than watching your favorite Halloween movies? Of course, this means you and the family have to agree on a feature to stream — which can be a battle over the remote when you have various age groups present. The kiddos are probably too young to watch some of those scarier Halloween movies that make even the adults quiver in fear. Everyone has their all-time favorite Halloween feature, whether it's a popular magical series like Harry Potter , Twitches , or Halloweentown , or a one-off animated classic that generations come back to again and again like It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

So, you're probably used to the arguments that can break out over what movie to watch on All Hollow's Eve. But this list of kid-friendly Halloween movies can entertain the whole family, regardless of age or genre preference. There are tons of Disney Halloween features that won't scare the younger ones and will bring the older kids and you back to the '90s and early s.

Kirsten Lepore’s creepy clay character is oddly soothing in this brilliant animation

One such vignette involves the children encountering a strange being on a small patch of land in the middle of nowhere. Starting off innocent and light-hearted, the scene quickly turns into something far more unsettling and spooky. The animation is top notch here and is actually rather shocking, considering that this was a film aimed for children. Thank goodness, I managed to avoid it until now! Ask any adult to name the movie that first terrified them as a kid, and odds are they won't mention some R-rated horror film they snuck into or a violent thriller they should never have been allowed to watch.
