Super Android 13 shows off his enormous muscles in new artwork by Toyotarou, the artist behind Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Super manga series. The impressive illustration of the character was posted to the official English website for the Dragon Ball franchise with the caption, "Someday I'd like to see all the Android models that never appeared in the [mainline] series --Toyotarou. Gero to get revenge on Goku for defeating the organization in his younger years.
Throughout the narrative, Android 13 takes "the computer chips and reactors of Androids 14 and 15 to transform and power up," becoming an overwhelming opponent who manages to defeat Piccolo, Vegeta and Future Trunks. However, Goku eventually manages to defeat the super villain by absorbing the power of a Spirit bomb and punching him straight through the chest. While the appearance of Android 13 himself is unlikely, the Red Ribbon Army and two new, deadly android warriors are confirmed as the antagonists in the upcoming movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.
According to early plot summaries, the story will mainly focus on the master-student relationship between Piccolo and Gohan. Their relationship was showcased in recent promotional material for the movie; fans were given a glimpse inside the aloof, asocial green alien's home. One of the objects prominently featured in the space is a plushie that was given to Piccolo.
Moreover, many fans have speculated that Super Hero will feature the return of one of the franchise's most iconic and infamous villains: Dr. Gero's perfect android, Cell. The rumors have predominately been fueled by what appears to be Cell's leg in a promotional screenshot that was published in V-Jump , the Shonen Jump spinoff magazine where Dragon Ball Super is serialized.
