I enjoyed Wolf Rain so much that the first thing I did upon finishing reading was to flick back to the start and read it all over again.
I loved Memory and Alexei together. Alexei is so dominant and predatory, yet he is also a protector at heart. He admires Memory's fire and determination, and she's not afraid to stand up to him, to stare down the dominant wolf. So sweet to see her joy in the smaller, everyday choices in life she gets to make herself after Alexei freed her, her love of colourful items and experiencing making friends.
Loved the chemistry and banter between these 2. Memory's insults to Alexei were hilarious, especially once the rest of the pack hears about them, and jumps on board to also rile up Alexei.
One person found this helpful. Nalini Singh, once again you have knocked it out of the ball park. Alexei, the wolf lieutenant for the Snow Dancer pack and Memory, the fiery, feisty Empath who had been locked up for most of her life. Their lifes entwine as their chemistry and attraction for each other grows, helping each other to heal from the hurts and atrocities that have paved their past. I loved the book bringing in past characters that help the mould and grow them.
It was a fanstastic read and once again I add it to my favourite book pile. This is really a must read series. Starting with Slave to Sensation, Nalini has created a world that allows your mind to escape and run wild through her words. Love love love this series and this author.
I loved it! This was such a fantastic book! I loved it so much!!! Nalini Singh has this really amazing ability to deal with complex issues of consent and virginity and the saviour complex in such a beautiful way that doesn't demean the female character like some other romance stories. The strength of character that she creates within the multifaceted people who might be otherwise considered victims is intense, interesting and intelligent.
Memory was was an interesting character, going from a scared girl to a whole person who worked on herself and pulled herself out of that darkness, with the help of others.
Once again Nalini Singh has written a brilliant and entertaining book, she has delivered a captivating story. The storyline was enthralling, l loved how Memory realises her potential. This series is terrific and I can't wait to read the next book. How does she do it? Minor characters from ten books ago take centre stage, fully formed, like they've been waiting for the right moment to tell their story.
The Psy-Changeling series is one of my absolute favourites; each installment is just as satisfying as the last. I enjoyed this one. Not going to be one of my favs from this series though. Alexei and Memory, love this book so much, wasn't a tear jerker thankfully but still a beautiful book. Would love to read about RunFire too. Absolutely awesome read, Ms Singh has rocked out another amazing story. Memory and the Russian Bridegroom are just wonderful. An amazing series that just kepts getting better.

Am I seesawing a bit with my thoughts? Re-read will be needed at some point. This is a nice addition to the Psy-Changeling series; from someone who inhaled books this is not praise. For me, this isn't as strong as the earlier books; it's rather formulaic and predictable. Some parts that I would previously have expected at least a little development in are completely "meh" and the predatory dominant changeling types all seem to have developed VERY similar sexual tendencies reuse and repetition of phraseology is getting tedious.
There doesn't seem to be much effort invested in writing the stories, before it was quite a rich tapestry woven around the main story - not so in this or in my opinion the last four Psy-Changeling and last couple of Guild Hunter books. The author's sense of humour always brings a smile to my face. Wolf Rain runs at a steady pace and the characters are lovable.
The Psy Net continues to crumble with some devastating effects and the future prospects are looking rather gloomy. Lexi is one of Snowdancers Lieutenant. He is a grumpy, but fun wolf. He has a fierce sense of protectiveness towards those deserving of his kindness. However, do not get on his wrong side as he isn't shy to show his claws and bites!
Memory is just that. A memory until Lexi frees her from captivity. Despite everything that she has been through, she remains strong and is very loving even though she doubts her own abilities. Lexi is disgusted when he discovers Memory and takes her under his protection.
At this stage, she could be a decoy, but that doesn't stop him from helping her. Once he discovers who she is, he is set on finding the one who wronged and abused her for so long. However, her captor is quite evasive and is hell bent on getting back what he thinks is his.
As Lexi and Memory get to the know each other, a bond forms between them, but he is convinced that he is cursed. Getting too close to him could prove to be detrimental. Can they find a solution to this problem? Lexi and Memory fit well together. Their interactions are somewhat interesting. I like Lexi's strength and loyalty as well as Memory's strength and determination.
