Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

I love anime shows that focus around the theme of magic. I was just searching through the huge library available on Crunchyroll and I noticed Yamada - kun and The Seven Witches. I wasn't looking for any particular show, just something to watch and this sounded like a show with magical elements attached to it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this anime considering it was a random selection. Ryuu Yamada is a delinquent troublemaker at his high school and, after just one year attending, he has become bored of his school life.

One day, Yamada accidentally trips down some stairs and crashes into Urara Shiraishi; the ace student of the school. Yamada then wakes up to find out that he has switched bodies with Shiraishi, the two then rush to fix the problem. They then discover they can reverse the process by kissing each other. This shows something supernatural is happening at Yamada's high school and maybe Shiraishi isn't the only witch at school with powers.

Unfortunately, the story is extremely similar to other anime shows so it has a lot of competition out there. However, the great thing this show in particular has going for it is that it doesn't take itself seriously and knows when to change its tone. It knows it has to be a lighthearted comedy, but it also knows when it needs to become a supernatural mystery show at the same time. I have to say I really did enjoy the animation of this show. Anime shows with magic involved usually have a lot of colorful animation happening, but instead with there being no visual magic happening, the color goes into the characters.

The characters are all visually unique, with each of the witch characters given different hair colors. The soundtrack was very interesting for me. The opening was very catchy and so was the ending for that matter. I would enjoy listening to it again and I always find the key to a good anime is a good soundtrack. The voice acting is actually really good I thought, with each character matching the tone of voices coming out of their mouth. The characters aren't exactly the most original bunch.

We have so many stereotypical girl types in this anime, ranging from tsundere all the way to the kuudere type. However, while they may not offer anything original, some of the characters do undergo some development. The main character is your typical high school loner protagonist, which we have also seen numerous times before. However, the character adds a great deal of comedy to the show and really starts showing great character development himself in the latter half of the series.

Yamada-kun and The Seven Witches is a pleasantly fun and light hearted anime show. I was fully expecting to watch just another anime show about harems. That aspect of the series is still involved but is done in a tasteful way I found.

There are some great comedic moments, the main character is really enjoyable and relatable and is very lighthearted. I would maybe suggested if people are sick of this type of anime or want a more serious watch, they skip over this one. However, I would definitely recommend this show to people who just want a nice easy show to watch.

Games, Anime and Movies! There is literally nothing that doesn't interest me. I probably watch too much anime and want to live in a fantasy world. I am that guy who plays all the those Japanese games nobody else plays. I generally review different anime shows and said Japanese games for the site as well as doing a few interviews with talented voice actors and other people of interest. Top 50 Best Blonde Anime Characters Of All Time

Both deal with teenagers in a club in high school that deal with supernatural abilities. In Yamada's case, the high school club is centres around finding people with supernatural abilies, with some of the members having supernatural abilities. However, in Kokoro Connect the characters don't do anything in their stupid damn club sure, the club in Yamada-kun was also pointless with the characters mucking around but at least that club had an objective! Both of these anime flip flop through many different supernatural abilities but with body swapping being the first supernatural ability the characters encounter and the main attraction. Both anime also have romance as one of the main elements. Sure, there is drama in Yamada but there's still a lot of comedic moments.

Anime remains one of the most diverse forms of entertainment in terms of animation, as creators in Japan have different takes in terms of genres and tropes. For instance, the gender-bender anime genre remains quite a hit for romance fans. However, while all gender bender anime share the same basic premise of a person switching genders, the way their stories work is almost always different from one another. Thankfully, certain gender-bender anime do end up rising above the competition. Just which gender-bender anime remain a must-watch for any anime fan?

Yamada and the Seven Witches is goofier than what I normally watch, but beneath the goofiness wait some interesting currents.

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches (TV)

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is yet another harem anime. What a time to be alive. This one, however, has a catch. At the high school Yamada attends, he learns that there are seven witches who have powers that are activated by kisses. Each of these witch powers has something to do with what the particular girl wishes.

Does anime and or manga hate women? Oversexualization, demeaning of the female character and perpetuating stereotypes of dependence. It may be more accurate to say that anime treats female characters with neglect rather than outright hatred. Even for stories with girls as the primary characters, the characters often do not experience development and are acted upon instead of acting. All personality is derived from that alone i. The absolute worst form of sexualization of female characters comes when it is happening to a character who is doing nothing at all to present themselves that way, but has it forced on them by the camera.

This is a shounen manga about a boy who quickly realizes he has the power to swap bodies with people he kisses. And during that tumble their lips touch and their worlds change. But Ryu and Urara quickly realize that this switch up could really work in both of their favors. Like, it was so bad that it was hard to read at parts. Especially when the character Toranosuke Miyamura gets introduced.

When Ryuu Yamada entered high school, he wanted to turn over a new leaf and lead a productive school life. That's why he chose to attend Suzaku High, where no one would know of his violent delinquent reputation. However, much to Ryuu's dismay, he is soon bored; now a second year, Ryuu has reverted to his old ways—lazy with abysmal grades and always getting into fights. One day, back from yet another office visit, Ryuu encounters Urara Shiraishi, a beautiful honors student.
