Arakawa Under the Bridge – 13 (END)

Currently there are 8 volumes released of the manga. But he ends up owing his life to a strange girl who saves his life. So the young man ends up living there too. I knew it! SHAFT is really picking up all the strange stuff to animate. The strange and the quirky is right up Shaft's alley, and also up mine. It's like an alley situated between one of those neon-lit novelty stores and a bookstore.

What was I talking about again? Oh, right. I will definitely watch this because I've never met a Shaft show I haven't liked. The covers are really weird at least some of them were.

So the element of comedy seems strong in this one. Also the art is pretty nice and concept seems interesting. I follow all almost all gag anime so sure wont miss this one. Zetsubo Sensei's weirdness is wearing off, it's time for Shaft to find something weird.

I'll check this out for the weirdness? The mangaka seems to be in disbelief that a famous Director is picking this up? The manga was absolutely hilarious and wonderful, especially that "Priest". Those manga covers are Can't think of a proper word to describe them, but I really like them. It looks like this series could be good for a lot of laughs. So, I'll look out for this. The last time a series had covers that asynchronously bizarre was Sunred.

Which is now one of my favorite series. And also from Gangan, come to think of it. So I place my faith in the weirdness.

Pay close attention to this website link. Which means Arakawa will be another collaboration of the Triple-S. Shaft, Shinbo and Starchild. Read the first chapter, all it did was set up the premise so can't really say much, will check out an episode or two when this airs eventually. A live action announcement PV with a man in a kappa suit. Now that's the Shaft I know.

SHAFT never fails to amuse me with their creativity creating something different from usual Still no news. After watching a couple of shaftbund, I'm wondering how much more quirky can they make this the original material is already pretty beyond common sense.

Nino: Sakamoto Maaya Mmm, this should be interesting. Oh well, at least we know nobody's screwing up Riku. That makes three Shaft leads voiced by Kamiya. Four, isn't it? Anyway, I'll be checking this one out for more Shaft-ness. Yes it's 4. I haven't seen Moon Phase yet I'll get around to it!

Shinbo interviewed in Maria Holic scoop back then that "Maria Holic was done without any difficulties all thanks to Miyamoto Yukihiro being an assistant director". I'm keeping my fingers crossed he's chosen as an assistant director for this series for that reason.

Broadcast timeslot seems to be that of Hanamaru Youchien's. This anime was already a must watch for me as soon as I heard about it, the amazing voice cast makes even more excited. Maria is the loli I guess? And that's one badass sister, no wonder Takehito Koyasu is voicing her.. I think it'll be okay if they only do one.

This could easily be Takehito Koyasu's most badarse role yet, and that's beating a lot of roles. Good choice. They discovered mature Chiwa and they cant let her go The other way around, Maria is pink-headed and Stella is the loli. I should have known I'd get it wrong, thanks :D That works too. Both are wonderful voice actresses so I'm not worried. When I read AUB half a year ago probably more than that but don't remember anymore , the impression is pretty much summed up nicely by "wtf".

The characters and the setting are already completely abnormal, but having famous VAs make me feel like they're just stereotyping them into previous character types; this create some kind weird, unwanted cognitive resonance that seem to threaten the uniqueness of the characters.

Obviously the chosen VAs probably are very good at demonstrating wide range of vocal talents and portraying different personalities, but I rather wish they were some fresh people or at least VAs I don't give a crap about. Really though, this is just a minor annoyance and a random thought early in the morning, which I probably won't care when it airs.

Right now, the only thing I'm interested in is how long this would be. The timeslot that broadcast this on never airs a episodes show. Though, a episodes Square Enix show is really rare. My bet is separated two seasons, 13 episodes each. I hope this series will be okay unlike all Shaft series this season.

I hear ya. Didn't like this seasons Shaft shows either. Last one I enjoyed was Bakemonogatari. Auch, they put Chiwa Saito into loli's chara again? Well, she's not what you expected. Judging from her voice acting as narrator in Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, I'd say she's perfect for the role.

So I'll probably give this one a 3 episode test. This may be exactly my type of show, if it has any resemblance to Bakemonogatari. Of course, I think Vampire Bund may be the second-best show Shinbou has ever done, but I know that puts me in the minority.

Maybe having Miyamoto Yukihiro means that there will be someone to manage the operation and make sure things get done on time, but MariaHolic wasn't my cup of tea at all.

Nor were either Natsu no Arashi or Asura Cryin2. And in fact, she is really Mieno Hitomi, who had a fairly successful singing career in the s, has written numerous song lyrics, and has written and performed in radio shows. In any case, I look forward to seeing what she can do with this.

If the novel is nuts, that sounds good. The cast looks excellent to me. Kamiya, Sugita, Koyasu, and Fujiwara are among my very favorite male seiyuus. And Kamiya and Maaya could be great together, creating something by their own cognitive dissonance, lol. Maybe Kamiya can knock Maaya off balance a bit. Add Chiwa and Miyukichi and you've got an all-star team. Maybe Chiwa has to be there to keep an eye on her bf Kamiya if the rumors are true.

I'm perfectly fine with the way Maaya is now. I can already image which voice in my head she'll use for this role. Don't get me wrong. I think she's great. But she's so professional that I'd like to see her lose a bit of control or get pushed out on a limb. The casts are awesome. They're seriously going all out with the cast. SHAFT truly shows us where all the money goes. Wow, what an incredible cast Quite a lot of Shaft regulars. Though Shinbo is one of my favorite directors, so this is just another part of his style that I'm used to.

Sundays are going to be fun this upcoming season. And considering that everything in its time slot has been, I wouldn't be surprised if this is chosen to be simulcast. Broadcast date is April 4, replacing Hanamaru Youchien. On a serious note, I hope there aren't too many "live" shots to fill in frames in the actual anime.

Relationship Voice Actor

The next anime in the spotlight comes from one of the hardest working directors in anime today, Akiyuki Shinbou, and his cohorts-in-crime, Shaft animation studio. Ichinomiya has been the eager sponge and is all set to step into this wonderful life when something unexpected happens; a woman saves his life and, when asked what she would like in return, she asks for him to live with her under the bridge as her lover. I think I got Shinbou pegged now. In the right amount and used correctly, these Shaft moments help make a show memorably and so far it seems that Arakawa Under the Bridge is hitting it about perfect. The one message is about how the truly important things in life are free and a lot more satisfying then the stuff money can buy.

It's been a while since I last read a light novel. Though I don't read much I somehow love to download and store them into my computer -.

Arakawa Under the Bridge was something that intrigued me. After reading a short summary about the series, I decided to give it a try and ended up a little surprised and really interested. The episode starts without an opening theme and goes straight into the opening act. Here, we find the male lead, Ko Ichinomiya, on a bridge expanding on his character and the situation he landed into. Ichinomiya, a young man belonging to a globally known business, opens the series explaining that he was basically born with a silver spoon in his mouth. More than just being a motto and the text printed across his tie, the birthright of every firstborn son, he wears, Ichinomiya completely lives his life by the tradition.

Members of the original English cast and the Japanese dub will reprise the roles for the anime the Japanese announcement revealed more voice actors beyond the four main characters. Mentally, at least, Nino truly is from Venus, acting and behaving worlds apart from Recruit. One wonders what dark events in her past have led.

After being shown glimpses of them in the ending sequence and in the series itself, we finally have the resident hairstylist Last Samurai Nakamura Yuuichi and odd couple Billy Tachiki Fumihiko and Jacqueline Gotou Yuuko making their formal series debut. I found myself laughing pretty hard at the sight of Last Samurai swinging away at Sister like he was trying to take his head off shortly after he tried to land a preemptive strike. All this time, Sister was apologizing for dodging too, making it even funnier to see. In any case, after Riku burns out trying to devise a plan to create an amusement park under the bridge in a mere week and learns that everyone else set one up for him, I must say I enjoyed Riku telling Tetsuro and Tetsuo to beat the crap out of Sonchou in his mascot outfit out of spite for him wearing it on top of his kappa one.

While we may have a slightly different understanding of voice actors in the west, in Japan, they are an indispensable talent worthy of a lot of respect.

Voice acting in Japan has a far greater prominence than voice acting in most other countries. Mainly because anime is such a deep and powerful industry and has an audience worldwide. When you watch your favorite anime series, you never really think about the people behind the voices of your favorite characters. Here are 10 voice actors who will change the way you viewed your favorite characters and maybe even love them more? Pikachu Pokemon. Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck Hunter x Hunter Who would have thought that these young, strong, motivated and powerful voice actors are behind the most loved hunters? Gon Freecss is voiced by 24 years old voice actor Han, Megumi.

Back then the voices behind some radio dramas were just called radio actors but they were like the first seiyuu even before the word caught on to refer to voice actors in general. Some of the early Drama Troupes who worked on lead roles had a fan following, which is kinda cool if you think about it. Later on voice acting became a regular thing on Japanese televisions as a lot of foreign media was being dubbed in Japanese and some individuals would dub over western actors. Which is still done today.
