Okay fine. I am aware that there is apparently a manga that is more conclusive than the anime- you may inform me if the manga includes some things I complain were lacking in the anime, however I am reviewing the anime, not the manga. DW had an interesting concept for their main staple. People were able to manipulate their blood and use it in combat. Despite there being quite a lot of gore, I feel the potential for this concept could have been milked a whole lot more than it was in DW.
We had some swords, some unexplained explosives, a shield technique, and not to mention the Ultra-Lame Ganta Gun. Show time's over. No more sssslicing for you. The art was halfway decent, but on the whole I didn't really prefer it. They had a slight bit of the syndrome has-good-style-but-used-it-for-the-wrong-things.
Someone come up with an acronym for that. Not to mention that blatantly annoying main character design. The characters were You play with a bunch of death row kids and you don't get backstories on almost anyone, and when you do, it's rushed and used at the wrong time on usually the wrong person. It's also not explained very well when it happens. They left a lot of characters to rot.
You get almost no screenplay or dirt on that captain sword chick with the G-cups, nothing on the main antagonist, and you can forget about several shady figures that seem significant, plus extra. And we have another whiny main lead. I'm sick of them already. I can understand that he's a 14 year old boy in a DW situation but my empathy stops right about there, and I'm just sitting here annoyed that he's whining and even trying.
This is not entertainment folks. The plot was left unfinished in the anime. I'm not sure if they're meaning to finish it up in a second season or they want you to go buy their manga. However nothing was conclusive except for the fact that both good guys and bad guys lost quite a few people. They leave you hanging on the REAL plot twist and quite a lot of loose ends. The philosophy in this anime is something to sniff at: you get a couple random hope stuff thrown in, some twisted bad guy logic, some stereotypical shounen nakama crap.
It's not prominent, which is a good thing, I think. I had to love Senji's reaction to Shiro. Now, the one thing this anime really has going for it- the music. It wasn't uber varied but I personally really liked the OST. I listened through the intro almost every time- if not watched; that intro was weird But like one of my fellow Reviewer's Eye pals said and I paraphrase , "It's the intro. It doesn't have to make sense. Anyways where was I?
The only other anime I've stopped to listen through an intro more than once or twice would be Jormungand and its lovely intro Borderland check it out. High praise. To recap, I enjoyed the soundtrack very much. If you can flip your laid-back switch on and are over 14, you might be able to smooth over these flaws with laid-backness and actually enjoy this anime to some extent. What I would personally suggest is that you just go obtain the soundtrack and leave it at that.
There are better things to waste your time doing out there. Ya the anime is pretty mediocre at best. Crow was pretty cool but only because he was written that way. That's pretty much correct. However considering the amount of free time I currently have, the quality of the soundtrack, that it's only 12 episodes, throw in a few extras and I watched it all. Come out with a nice solid "meh" and a good soundtrack. I can't be as certain as you are because I never finished DW , but I stopped because the characters were tasteless, boring, and defiantly annoying.
Back stories where strange in meaning or irrelevant altogether. The characters felt like cliches of preexisting ones, and unnecessary. There just wasn't anything promoting me to continue. Yesterday manga chapter 54 for deadman wonderland came out suprising in the end i wonder what will lead shiro and ganta and some back story of ganta child was shown go to any manga website and read you wont regret :. Still no post about the date or consideration if the creator has giving up for the anime of giving it a season 2, the fact that she said she will return to it on tweeter and from toonami makes it a possibility, but for now everyone should go search up mangas cause deadman wonderland is back with its 53 chapter make sure you guys read it a suprise awaits the next chapter will be realease on May day not confirmed. I just recieve a tweet from Tonnami saying that the creator of Deadman wonderland gave birth to a healthy baby further more she will be getting back to the manga and will be continuing the anime series date has yet to be confirm cant wait :.
