The argument between Ruby and Yang is both stupid and pointless they just do this so the team can split up. Also for some reason Ren and Nora's of what place they want to protect is switched here. Also, I've come to the conclusion that I'm really starting to hate Yang more then Blake now, and that's not a good thing. Also Also, Ironwoods now a full on Villain. This was the only thing I liked in this episode and the one gag that made me laugh my ass of since Volume 3.

I mean the hound was cool too, but beyond all that this episode was kinda boring. Episode 3: Strings The humor in this episode sucks and takes away tension the jokes would work better if this was Volume's 1 and or 2, or even RWBY Chibi.

The small scuffle with the Ace-Ops was meh. That she's now on my shit list of worst characters in RWBY now. And Weiss is also going down hill for me too. Ren finally calling out how him and all of the characters fuck ups and how imperfect they all are is incredibly cathartic, and I love it.

To bad it doesn't last and is supposed to paint Ren as a bad guy as well as being in the wrong here. Which really says a lot about the Series and Fandom as a whole in a Meta sense.

Cinder loses again. Meanwhile the sky is blue. The heart to heart moment with Penny and Pietro was nice. We get another god awful speech from Ruby again, which I immediately tune out, At least we get to see Glynda in the Maya engine, so that's cool I guess. And after this episode Maria and Pietro are never mentioned are heard from again.

Episode 7: War Mercury once again gets stunted on his screen time, seriously, he gets a newoutfit and a few lines of dialogue and he fucks off with Tyrian to go do something next Volume. I'm beginning to think that writers really hate Mercury or have completely no idea what to do with him, and I kinda feel bad, I mean I already don't like most of the characters in this show but even he doesn't deserve this.

Ren gets his convenient and unearned shonen anime power up. May calling out the group not having a plan as well as knocking down Ruby's blind optimism was awesome, give me some more of that please. The plot once again comes to the heroes in the form of Klein and Penny, and the heroes didn't have do anything once again. Episode 8: Dark Whitley hatches up a plan faster then the heroes do. Ruby and Blake finally have a full on conversation with each other, to bad dialogue sucks fat Chodes, and is just another scene where one of the heroes suck Ruby's dick and talking about how incredible she is.

You could replace Blake with any other character and nothing changes. The virus inside of Penny's body amounts to nothing in this entire Volume. The plot comes to them in the form of the Hound. Episode 9: Witch Watching this episode for the first time everything is happening way to fast but on the second viewing everything happens way to conveniently with no sense of danger.

Hazel turning good felt like they just had to chuck out his entire character to get to this point. Salem's goofy ass running animation and flailing arms were the only thing I liked in this episode. And it all ends with another Deus E Machina in the form of Ozpin's cane.

Episode Ultimatum Watts Finally calling Cinder out or her stupidity and incompetence was the best thing ever. Episode Risk Marrow "NOW" decides that he's had enough even though him and the other's could confronted Ironwood on his actions in the first episode. Ironwood is insane and dumbass.

Robyn is still shitty. Grimm summer theory is mentioned, therefore it's "justified". Renora drama solved and only they care. And Everyone is cool with Emerald now but are still hesitant around Ozpin when they should've forgave him back in Volume 6 apologized and also apologize for being assholes and hypocrites, but they don't Fucking gag me Episode Creation The group easily kick Ironwoods incompetent ass, and use the staff to solve all of their problems.

Also why the fuck are they taking all of Atlas, Mantle, including the Staff to Vacuo? Why not the other two Kingdoms? Making Penny human was a really dumb idea, granted it help get the virus out of her but how will this benefit her character going forward?

Not to mention that it spits in the face of the message that Ruby gives to Penny in V2. Litterally everything in this episode works out in the heroes favor without a hitch, at least until Cinder and Neo show up. Speaking of which They try to salvage Ironwood one more time by Killing Jacques and giving him a final battle against Winter which both scenes suck.

The scene where Yang falls was nothing but cheap shock value, just like Weiss getting impaled back in V5. Oh, and Harriet had feelings for Clover and gets a final battle with Qrow. Who cares. None Penny's scenes in this Volume or even last Volume amounted to anything or even mattered. Let's just say after this Volume he has officially worn out his welcome and I want him out of the story for a while.

Robin should've died or not exist at all in this fucking show. The Ace-Ops looked like they had some potential as characters, but in the end they sucked. Cinder finally gets her Tomura Shiguraki turn heel only to regress her in the end.

The Villains won in the end yes, but only in the last two episodes of the Volume. Most everything bad that happened in this Volume was mostly the result of our "Heroes" being stupid and stubborn idiots.

Again what was the point of all of this!? They painted a morally grey situation last Volume only to turn it all around and make it one sided Black and white scenario with Good guys being right and the bad guys being wrong while at the same time making the good guys hypocrites in the process, and also completely retcon or ignore things that happen in the last Volume to justify characters actions and making the audience look like the idiots which is one of the things you should never do in a story.

Really a lot of this could have been avoided if the Heroes weren't stupid and stubborn idiots and then maybe then Ironwood would be the way he was and they'd come up with a plan where everyone bands together and hatch a plan where none of the characters would die.

But, this the fucking hand we are dealt with. As a whole with this being part 2 of the Atlas arc Volume 8 like I said is the second worst season next to Volume 5 with Volume 7 being the lessor the lesser of two evils. It just feels as though even with the Two new writers they hired to help on this show RT still have not learned from their mistakes and the bar is now at negative one for me to the point going forward I'm dreading Volume 9 and onward of RWBY.
