Adventure time stakes the dark cloud

Stakes is an American animated television miniseries comprising eight episodes from the television show Adventure Time , created by Pendleton Ward. It aired as part of the show's seventh season from November 16, to November 19, on Cartoon Network. Adventure Time follows the adventures of Finn voiced by Jeremy Shada , a human boy, and his best friend and adoptive brother Jake voiced by John DiMaggio , a dog with magical powers to change shape, grow and shrink at will. In this limited event series, Princess Bubblegum voiced by Hynden Walch removes the vampiric essence from Marceline the Vampire Queen voiced by Olivia Olson , which unleashes five recently resurrected vampires into The Land of Ooo. The miniseries' story was developed by series creator Pendleton Ward, showrunner Adam Muto , head writer Kent Osborne , and staff writer Jack Pendarvis. Former Adventure Time storyboard artist Rebecca Sugar returned briefly to the show to voice Marceline's mother and to contribute a song entitled "Everything Stays".

Marcelina may be a 1,year-old vampire queen, but that doesn't mean she can't rock out on the bass. Although she started out as a villain, initially evicting Finn and Jake from their home, she soon became a close ally.

Together, they must fight the hideous beast formed from Gumbald's army. When PB is in great danger, Marceline reverts to her monstrous vampire form and destroys the creature. After she is approached by the Ice King to help him write a song Marceline struggles emotionally with his deteriorating mental condition, remembering their time together that he has forgotten. While attempting to help him remember, Marceline finds a note from the Ice King before he transformed, when she called him "Simon.

Marceline asks Bonnie for a favor to help her undo her vampiric nature. Marceline drinks a liquid provided to her, certain she wants to no longer be a vampire and goes through a mechanical process. Later, Marceline has a dream where she sucked the blood out of cows and wakes up in a field.

This angers the villagers, who set out to destroy her. The sunlight is just about to come over her, and she yells out to Finn to burn her diaries. After reading the inscription "This door shall yield to no command save for a song from a genuine bande," they realise they have to truly work together as a band for the gate to open. Marceline looks back on her life on her last day.

She goes through numerous flashbacks until the sun finally rises. However, to her surprise, the sun merely evaporates her vampire bite marks. She's no longer a vampire. Hunson Abadeer comes back to Ooo to bond with his daughter, Marceline. She wants him to prove he's over his soul-sucking ways. While they end up in a brawl, Marceline is appreciative that her dad is at least trying to bond with her.

Marceline's Song: "Francis Forever" originally composed by Mitski. There's a battle of the bands taking place in Ooo. Marceline is a contestant who does well until she loses her pick. She eventually finds it but is upset that Finn, the judge of the contest, has already left.

They decide to prank her, but things go too far with the pair leaving Breakfast Princess far away from her kingdom. Strudel Princess takes over as ruler of the Breakfast Kingdom. The finale of the Stakes miniseries. It's up to Marceline, Finn, Jake, and Bonnibel to stop the cloud, but Marceline insists on staying behind.

Fighting vampires has brought nothing but bad things for her, so she's prefer to stay out of it. Marceline is hot on the trail of the Sky Witch. When the task proves to be too much, she turns to Princess Bubblegum, insisting she needs to catch the Sky Witch because it's really, really, really, really, really, really, really really important.

Marceline rejoices with her newfound mortality. Jake tells her about some new vampires. She ends up in a battle with The King, who bites her, turning her into a vampire once more.

Princess Bubblegum searches for a cure for Marceline while Jake and Finn go off to fight a vampire. Meanwhile, Marceline dreams of Simon and Betty. Finn and Jake travel to another dimension and meet Farmworld Marceline. She prevents Farmworld Finn and Jake from getting the crown that froze this new world for years, and Farmworld Marceline has been guarding it ever since.

Despite her best efforts, Finn gets the crown, gaining its magical powers in the process. Marceline shows up to the tree fort to kick Finn and Jake out after proving she was the original owner of the tree, though she thanks them for "keeping it warm for her.

Princess Bubblegum has been dethroned. Marceline goes to PB and she's living in a cabin trying to make a vegetable kingdom. All of her vegetables are being destroyed by varmints, and Marceline uses her powers to keep the creatures at bay.

Marceline stays with PB to continue helping her vegetables. Marceline shares her history with the Ice King to Finn and Jake. Beginning years before, when the Ice King then called Simon was 47 and Marceline who went by Marcy was seven years old.

She talks about wandering through the ruins of human civilization after the Great Mushroom War, and how Simon found the crown that turned him slowly into the Ice King over the centuries. Marceline's father, Hunson Abadeer, traps Finn and Jake in the Nightosphere for reasons they can't remember and they have to figure out how to escape. When they finally exit the portal, the boys discover that Marceline was the ruler all along. After she tells them to stay away from her forever they are determined to learn the truth.

Part one of a two-part episode, concluded in "Daddy's Little Monster. Simon's crown breaks while performing karaoke. This causes Simon to go mad, forcing Marceline and Princess Bubblegum to go to extreme measures to get the crown working properly again. This includes wiping the AI Betty from his crown. They return to their planned dinner party with Simon not remembering anything. The Ice King reverts back to Simon after a ritual. He asks for the help of Finn, Jake, and Marceline to help him recontact Betty in the past so that he can tell her he's sorry for everything he's done.

Marceline's part in this is to sacrifice Hambo, which is an item Simon has cherished for centuries. The Vampire King unexpectedly arrives in a forest and makes Marceline a bizarre proposal. Marceline tries to fight and stake him, but he wants Princess Bubblegum to rid him of his vampirism.

The operation is successful, and his vampiric essence is buried deep underground. While Finn and Jake are trapped in her closet when she comes home unexpectedly, Marceline goes about her day, narrowly avoiding the boys who are trying to sneak out undetected.

BMO shows up on Marceline's doorstep ready to hunt some vampires, unaware they've all gone away. Instead, the two swap stories about what they've been up to the last couple of days. While Ice King is reading the princesses his Fionna and Cake stories, Marceline stops by and begins telling her own version - adding more adventure and far less romance. Finn and Jake return to Ooo only to discover radical changes occurred while they were gone. One of these changes is that there's now Marshmaline the Campfire Queen, the candy version of Marceline.

She leads them to a tower, which is now made up of Princess Bubblegum. Marceline insists the task will be easy, but they run into a different vampire named The Hierophant. While they defeat the vampire, Marceline is left with a green, poisonous scar and falls to the ground. Discovering why Marceline was ruling the Nightosphere, Finn and Jake return to rescue her. Inciting the other demons with a political rap, the boys finally succeed in returning Marceline home.

This episode concludes the story in "Return To The Nightosphere. After Finn offers to take the place of Marceline's Old Man Henchman, he finds that following the vampire's orders is more difficult than he could have imagined.

As each weird task progresses, Finn realises that Marceline's "evil" commands are really just tricks to confuse him and aren't evil deeds at all. An all-out war is about to break out in Ooo. While Marshmeline and the Fire Princess get along at first, they soon become enemies. This is the seventh part of the miniseries Elements. Uncle Gumbald shows up at a party to get his revenge on Princess Bubblegum. Marceline defends her, shape shifting in the process. Gumbald leaves for the moment but promises to return.

While Marceline and Finn are working on a song together, she reveals the complicated relationship she has with her dad, Hunson Abadeer, who is trapped in the Nightosphere - until he is released moments later by Finn. As her dad goes on a soul-stealing spree, Marceline an Finn work together to stop his rampage, and possibly get him to understand Marceline's feelings.

An old foe targets the Ice King, and it's up to Marceline to save him. They discover this foe is The Empress, who tries to hypnotize the Ice King, but he's too thick for it to work. Princess Bubblegum ends up saving the day while Marceline absorbs The Empress' powers.

She agrees to hunt the rest of the vampires with her friends. Marceline introduces Finn and Jake to her ghost friends and tricks the boys into thinking she's turned them into vampires. The prank escalates, thanks to her ghost friends, Wendy, Booboo, and Georgy, and Finn and Jake soon find themselves in trouble when trying to use their non-existent vampire powers.

In the grable "Savory" Marceline is trying to find Wizard Bill's music store so she can pick up a devilish looking bass that plays "the most savory licks in Ooo.

Adventure Time follows two best friends: Finn a year old boy and Jake a wise year-old dog with magical powers , and the surreal adventures undertaken by the duo as they traverse the mystical Land of Ooo. A world built for adventure, Ooo is filled to the brim with various landscapes for the two buddies to explore and bizarre characters to assist. Finn and his friends must come together as a genuine band in order to open the gate of the Door Lord and get back their taken items. The Ice King summons an army of snowmen to recover the secret tapes Finn and Jake are watching. They must work against the clock to find out the secrets enclosed within. The Princess isn't feeling well and Jake starts to worry something might be wrong with her.. The Ice King is anxious to help, but does Finn trust him?
