According to Variety , Johnson's character will be a major focus of the film, which is due in theaters on May 20, Plot details are still light, but the basic premise involves Superman going out of town, and it's up to his pet dog and "a flying cat to stop crime while the Man of Steel is on vacation. None of Johnson's co-stars in the film are yet cast. This is far from the only big-name project on the horizon from Johnson. The Old Guard's Marwan Kenzari was also cast in a mystery role. It's the end of an incredibly prolonged wait for fans--after a few delays due to the pandemic, this film will finally come out after first being announced and starting development way back in Elsewhere in the DC Universe, it was recently announced that an animated Injustice movie is also in the works.
