Both anime take place in the future, and their protagonists are similar in that they start out as nothing special before undergoing radical changes as a result of their involvement in the game.
In the year , a coalition governs Japan. Ten years ago, a pandemic nearly wiped out the entire population of the country. However, with the help of other countries, the country was able to recover and rise again. The country is now terrified of the Anti-Bodies organization, whose mission is to wipe out the virus by imposing its will on the country with no checks or balances.
As with Accel World, the series takes place in a futuristic world. In addition, the main characters share traits, and the story has a strong science fiction element. A young man named Shiroe, who is socially awkward, is one of the players who is transported.
His new reality will force him to work with Naotsugu and Akatsuki, two players he met online when Elder Tale was still just a game. Shiroe will use his instincts and strategic skills to help the people he knows while fighting alongside them.
Both anime feature characters who grow and fight as avatars in a virtual world. These avatars became their actual bodies in Log Horizon, however. However, despite the fact that Log Horizon is a much more somber game than Accel World, it contains many humorous moments. All students at Fumizuki high school are ranked based on their grades.
This means that the best grades go to students in the A class, while the worst grades go to those in the F class, who are all hopeless cases. The Financial District is a virtual world in which Entrepreneurs battle it out over an Asset, which serves as their avatar and represents their shattered future, according to the narrative. Of course, anyone entering the Financial District is aware that the price they must pay is their own financial security. The object of the game is to engage in combat while placing bets on the outcome.
If a player defaults on his or her debts, he or she will be barred from returning to the Financial District. The virtual world in [C] is identical to that found in Accel World. Players can also engage in combat with one another by creating an avatar. Both of the main characters are presented with an opportunity to make a change in their lives, which is another similarity between them.
Because the show features characters with vastly divergent viewpoints, it is still engaging and catchy. Using a radar and a variety of bombs called BIM, the player seeks out and destroys his or her enemies in Btooom! As with the previous videogame adaptation story, this one centers on a true-to-life survival scenario. The basic premise is the same as in Accel World, as the main character strives to rise to the top.
Considering that both shows are action and romance heavy, this is an intriguing and engaging pairing.
