I should've posted in here earlier. A number of us posted that we were confused why it wasn't re:charge. The reason was finally stated! In this famitsu interview , Kanazawa Tomio, the producer, stated that a lot of assets received from Atlas weren't complete. A bunch of the game sounds like most had to be created from scratch, and if they were to remake the re:charge content, it'd be like making a whole new game on top of this project.

This interview was in April, and he said then that he was interested in potentially adding re:charge content after launch, but it wasn't something they were thinking about at the time.

The good news is that if this sells well, they do think a sequel is possible, and that's why they did the remaster in the first place. You're not wrong, but It's a remaster of a smaller niche PS2 game with some passionate fans but not a big following like Mega Man so I guess I was expecting a full-price release for this one.

Kowloon Youma Gakuen Ki is an adventure RPG released in that has captured the hearts of many, regardless of age and gender, and continues to gain fans. The game features newly recorded voice-overs, including a fully-voiced main scenario. The voice actors from the original game have returned, although some voice actors have been changed.
