Benjamin Franklin Publishes the First American Political Cartoon: "JOIN, or DIE."

Attempting to sum up the history of animation in just a few films is a near impossible task! Like any artistic medium, animation is full of innovators, game-changers, and unparalleled geniuses. Walt spent more than a decade elevating the art form to new levels of technique, performance, and quality. In just a few short years, The Walt Disney Studios had created multiple feature films of astounding range and style—from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio to Fantasia and Dumbo —that only seemed to promise more to come.
