Thinks Out Loud: A blog at first
Last night the BF asked me the following question: "Daffy Duck I think that if I had to pick any world to live in from all the cartoon worlds out there, I think I'd pretty specifically choose the Looney Tune Land that was in Space Jam. Mostly because the Space Jam version of Lola Bunny is my homegirl.

I'd have to travel back in time a little, but I think it would be pretty fun to hang out with Calvin from Calvin and Hobbs. I'd go for the GI Joe series world with it's bizarre geography, questionable physics, and dysfunctional uses of technology.
The movie is something I'd rather not have been made. I loved the opening but the plot was lacking. I want the world to be full of logic and continuity errors, mis-colored surfaces, shrinking people, and inept villains. Story lines were serialized over five episodes which ran five minutes each, the idea being that stations could show one episode per weekday, with the climax coming on Friday. I'm thinking Scooby Doo..
Plus all those scooby snacks and sank breaks in general.. I think I channeled Shaggy for much of my early years. The Who Framed Roger Rabbit world. I grew up on Looney Toons and still watch the classic ones. A world where the two intersect would be incredible. That and Jessica Rabbit I seriously recommend reading it, and the second book tho that's been on hiatus for a while, but is said to be slated to be continued. Selecting a cartoon world would depend on some variables that fic adresses.
Are you immune to the slapstick and violence in the cartoon, or at least to the extent of the characters? Do you get any 'powers' to level yourself with the characters? The question begs to be pondered I'd have the opportunity to show off my magic and get to know an ancient heroic spirit.

Vintage Jonny Quest would be cool - travel the world, get in adventures, do sci-fi sorta stuff Voltron would certainly have to be the lions universe rather than the vehicles. I was always kind of partial to Battle of the planets loved the episodes when they "lit up" the fiery phoenix. Actually, sooo many choices, I think I would like a dimensional portal that I could move from one animated world to another.
Spend a morning with Bugs Bunny then an afternoon with the x-men while figuring out which space adventure to go on the next day Star Trek, Space Ghost The protagonist is a standard run-of-the-mill human, dropped in various anime worlds. He gains no powers, but is subjected to anything that can realistically happen in the worlds he lands in. While reading it with no knowledge of the animes would work, some base knowledge would go a long way in 'getting' parts of the story.
