A Slew of Vintage Nickelodeon Shows Are Now on Paramount Plus

Growing up in the '90s and '00s, I was definitely a Nickelodeon kid. But what about all those other shows? Time to go down memory lane. Ah, yes.

There was that one show everyone remembers, but is there a cartoon everyone forgot? People are forgetful. I'm here to tell you all the cartoons you forgot, mostly shows from Nickelodeon. Now I hate Nickelodeon nowadays, but they've been here for a while and when stuff goes out for too long, it gets stale. You know me, I fricking love Cartoon Network and grew up with the channel and for them, being third place behind Disney and Nick is a blessing. They'll try something new everyday and people will love them for their constant effort to give new stuff and listen to people.

As we grow older, our classic television shows disappear along with our small and box-like TVs. Nickelodeon, along with Disney Channel, aired one-of-a-kind animated shows that lit up our TVs on our cartoon-filled Saturday mornings.

This tween dramedy revolved around a young girl who used her passion for cooking and some magic spices? This kid's sketch comedy show ran for four seasons and was created by the former writer of In Living Color , Buddy Sheffield. Also, call me crazy but is that the same set as Dragon's Den? Truly the only redeeming element of The Brothers Garcia is that it featured narration from John Leguizamo. It has the same crude animation and crass humor that worked wonders for shows like South Park but it lacks in literally every other aspect. Unfortunately, the writing couldn't hold up and after three seasons, Sanjay and Craig was canceled. Does the name "The Jovial Bob Stine" mean anything to you?

The television of the '90s gave us plenty of memorable, award-winning, and groundbreaking series. While those and many other shows are fondly remembered and rewatched on streaming services today, there are dozens of others that have been largely forgotten — shows that tried to compete with the likes of The X-Files or Saved by the Bell , but were hampered by poor time slots, network disputes, and often just being a little too ahead of their time. These shows may not make every critic's top 10 list for '90s TV, but that doesn't mean they aren't deserving of praise. For whatever reason, they're rarely part of the conversation today, but these forgotten '90s shows are definitely worth a revisit.
