東京喰種トーキョーグール [zakki] [Tokyo Guru [zakki]] [Tokyo Ghoul [zakki]]
Disclosure: I was sent a review copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone. He has been a fan of the serialization and popular franchise by mangaka, Ishida Sui, which run until July My husband had an original illustrations book that covered the first series, but had no idea that had come out with the Tokyo Ghoul Zakki:Re, which is based on the second series.
But, when he saw it arrive in the mail the other, his eyes lit up, and he grabbed it to take a closer look. Just by the look on his face, you would have thought it was Christmas already. I was never big on Tokyo Ghoul, but just hearing him describe it and showing me all the different artwork in the book, made me interested in checking it out further. When I asked my husband to share his thoughts on this book, he kept bringing up how the illustrations were so life-like and how they were printed on high quality glossy paper.
The art in this book is like nothing I have seen before, in that is it bright and colorful, and the realistic illustrations really jump off the page at you. Post a Comment. My husband found it hard to put this book down, and ended up reading it cover to cover.
Compared to the other artwork book from the series, he said that this newest release is by far the best and his favorite. He highly recommends Tokyo Ghoul:re Illustrations: zakki for fans of the series. No comments :. Newer Post Older Post Home. Subscribe to: Post Comments Atom.

Artbooks — Tokyo Ghoul [ZAKKI: re] (part 1)
Tokyo Ghoul:re Illustrations Zakki is a collection of works from mangaka Sui Ishida along with commentary and a lot of extra art pieces that you may or may not have seen before. Throughout the book, Ishida shows off his painting style as well as goes into detail about what software he uses as well as some of the techniques he tried for some pieces. For example, in an image for Juuzo, he talks about using an impasto technique which is great for closeups of the face but gets less detailed the more you pull back. He has a double-page, side-by-side comparison with the original art piece that featured a green background and a finished product that was more grey and monotone with little splashes of color.
