I recently watched SAO for the third time? I think? A lot of my friends, who are lit majors, writers and other kinds of storytellers love this anime. We love talking about it, too. Battle shonen stories are about the main character getting stronger to achieve some kind of personal goal with aforementioned cycle. For some heroes, their goal is to be the strongest. As a solo player, Kirito is constantly grinding to become strong enough to simply survive.

The next scene shows Kirito fighting monsters alone at night before he runs into Kline. Seriously, nobody wants to watch an anime of a guy grinding to level-up.

Level 1 Kirito is awkward. Instead of acknowledging that his skills could help a small group of people survive; Kirito simply leaves Kline behind. During the level 1 boss fight, Kirito reflects on his selfish choices. As SAO progresses, Kirito begins to open up by helping people, joining a guild, clamming up after everyone is killed, until his character development culminates with him falling in love with Asuna and putting his life on the line.

Every encounter Kirito has in the Aincrad arc is to move him forward on this trajectory. The good, the bad, and the ugly. This is why Kayaba himself is such an interesting character. He creates a death game, yet later we find out his technology was given to hospitals to be explored with patients who are suffering. Their relationship is based on mutual confidence and trust.

Make sure you protect me too, okay? The first and biggest problem, is the way in which the story was created. While writing, he went over the page limit so instead of submitting it, he published it online under a pseudo name. Later he submitted Accel World, won the contest, and his work was officially published. The publishing company then requested SAO and he took it offline. You write-up a story for a competition, and suddenly, a publisher comes to you and wants to publish your work. But because of the competition, Kawahara wrote his novel in an a-typical fashion.

And as much as I love SAO, it hurt the story to be written this way. Kawahara knows a lot about gaming. I want this game to be real minus the whole death part. I want to play it. I wanted to watch what happens in Aincrad for much longer than I did. I think everyone is agreed; the anime moves too fast. Instead, they continue traveling together. And he made the change because the story would be boring otherwise. Kirito collects women.

Some are more interesting than others, but at the end of the day, it just feels…blech. Can you tell I hate it? Asuna becoming the damsel in distress sucks. So yeah, SAO has some issues, but this anime is still great. Now that the final saga has been announced it seems like a good time to talk about ships, and my hope for LuNa, which is one of my favorite ships of all time.

I had this epiphany after Whole Cake Island when Sanji reverted back to the exact same character. Sanji had so much potential to grow and become something more than he was.

But Oda chose to keep him the same. For the most part in One Piece, the strawhats inspire growth and change in the arc characters they meet. Those are the characters that grow and change the most. The One Piece is found, the battle is over, and Nami asks Luffy where he would like to go. And they, along with whoever sail off into the blue. That would make me very happy. And leaves my brain to imagine all sorts of scenarios where Luffy and Nami begin a relationship later.

Nobody is going to see whatever their preferred ship is among the strawhats become canon. Maybe this is for the best? I will love LuNa forever. And in the end, everyone ships characters because they enjoy their dynamics. Wano took 4 years. With Oda taking a month off, I have hope this will happen.

Luffy is a Yonkou. Time for everyone else to look the part! The post-time skip looks are no longer relevant. Just once. The whole thing might end in tragedy, but I need this. I need him to experience unabashed happiness. BUT when a snapshot of a manga raw posted on a new Togashi account that Murata is following is just…. So, if growing up as a millennial in particular , falling in love with your best friend, first love, fighting for your happiness and the hope of second chances is your thing, then my book might be for you.

I try to think about how I decided to revive an old dream and live in that moment instead of all my regret. His ocean eyes, his tender smile, the way his laugh sounded, and the feel of his arms around her.

Is there a way to move past these intense feelings? Is there a chance for happiness? You wrote an article about Luffy's outfits and you found a connexion between them and a cameo of Akira Toriyama in his first manga Doctor Slump. I need this source for my book. Thank you!

If you want, we can talk on Twitter ShinyuAera. Hi there! I made that post over four years ago, haha. My hope for LuNa at the end of One Piece Now that the final saga has been announced it seems like a good time to talk about ships, and my hope for LuNa, which is one of my favorite ships of all time. But my gut says this is what everyone should expect. All good stories must end The final arc of One Piece will begin after Oda gets back from his month long break.

I had a sneaking suspicion this would happen as I read through Wano. Okay okay okay. The book is split into two sections. Read Chapter 1: Give me a chance? Anonymous asked: Hi! Good luck! Look at this gif comparison between Strong World and Wano. The level of production is insane.

Greetings my fellow readers, I have returned with another gamer male reader story, this time we're going to focus on SAO, but on the video game side, not the anime side. So expect a lot of changes Going forward with this story, I'll be making a couple of changes to how the gamer-style of the story progresses, the rewards will be a little more different, such as new weapons and perhaps some unlocked intel for finding very rare or legendary stuff instead of just increased affection or Col, which is SAO's way of saying 'money'. Secondly, and as you may have seen in the description, I won't be doing what I did with the DaL story. Instead of taking over Kirito's conscious, he'll be erased out of existence. Simply put that you will be completely filling the role of the protagonist and that leaves me with a lot of potential that I can take advantage of Finally, I've gone with doing arcs like I did in my DaL story.

Kirito Harem Fanfiction

sao anime harem

SAO is technically not classified as a "harem anime ," though sadly it does retain a lot of similarities to that genre. Tons of girls have swarmed around Kirito, usually from being saved by him or impressed by his "skills," who all adore him. While hardcore fans have a long list of reasons why they've supported the show for almost a decade, critics have also justified their dislike with an equally lengthy list of cons. From a purely technical standpoint, Sword Art Online's earlier seasons suffered from bad writing. The characters were very unoriginal and lacked any personality or depth, the plot was all-over the place and had its holes and a lot of other things like Kirito being grossly overpowered, the villain SAO, SAO and stuff like that.

Eugeo turned himself into a sword in order to protect Kirito and Alice from the grips of Quinella, the Administrator but he died doing so.

Railgunfan75 here. We all have come across the scenario where someone approaches you who is interested in getting into anime but is not sure really what to expect or where to get started. There are of course a ton of series out there and selecting the perfect gateway anime. Everyone has their own opinions as to which one to select and they are all certainly correct. I will make an argument for a series which I feel does a great job of fullfilling the gateway anime role. This series certainly been divisive as it is either a love or hate it series. I personally am on the positive end of spectrum in my views but I also acknowledge that the series is far from perfect.
