Previous volumes have gone up and down between being great or just good, so how does Vol. After some hints at the romantic nature of their emotions in previous volumes, the pair finally hits an important benchmark here. Their methods for gathering that information are controversial and trigger major in-group conflicts. The one aspect of this volume that almost never disappoints is its artwork.
Light sources, shading, textures, architecture, facial expressions—all of these things are beautifully rendered. Kino hones in on a tender emotional moment between two characters, fully detailing them and their surroundings at a pivotal second in time. Overall, No. Thankfully, the artwork throughout is nearly flawless, as Kino continues to be deserving of major praise.

Look at those beautiful backgrounds! Is it good? Beautiful artwork and great progression of the main characters' relationship make this yet another good volume. The art is amazing as always. Rat and Shion's progression here is fantastically handled. There are occasional clarity problems. The book's second half moves a bit too slowly.

The show handles character interactions beautifully and is really interesting to watch. Still, No. At the center of No. No one in Chronos has to work, because everything is provided.
A Goodnight Kiss: What’s The Deal With No. 6?
The anime was only a half season and truly lacks much of the depth and story that the manga and novel include. The story was deep and intriguing, as if the premise of No. The plot is excellent and I thought it was extremely well paced. When I first saw the anime, I was jaded. When I read the light novels, I wept. The execution of the plot was perfect. In the end, everything came together in a way that exceeded every hope and every desire I could have had. The biggest drive of this series for me are the characters. I truly love the characters in No. Shion, Nezumi, Inukashi and others too are fabulously written with depth and meaning and are inseparable from this story.
Nezumi and Shion – The Best Part of No. 6
I had the chance to read the entire nine volumes and see the anime. I was hooked from the beginning all the way until the end to see what was going to happen next. The story follows the main characters Shion and Nezumi, two complete opposites in pretty much everything, who become friends and allies to bring down No. Shion is a book smart teenager who yearns to see the world outside of No. Nezumi, on the other hand, is a criminal who loves literature and wishes to see No.
Is No. 6 worth watching?
A manga adaptation drawn by Hinoki Kino was serialized in Kodansha's Aria magazine from January to November An episode anime television series adaptation by Bones was broadcast on Fuji TV 's Noitamina programming block from July to September The story takes place in a dystopian city known as "No. Shion, a boy raised in the elite and privileged environment of his home, gives shelter to another boy, who only gives his name as "Nezumi" or "Rat" on the former's twelfth birthday. What Shion soon discovers is how drastically life will change after meeting with the mysterious Nezumi, with whom he had shared one unforgettable, stormy night.

Putting the two together in a story is garneted to engage me in the narrative. No:6 is the title of the anime and the name of the city which is the primary setting and focus. Rather than try to provide an over view of the entire city the anime focuses only on two boys. One Shion who is from the upper crust of the city and the other called Rat who is an escaped prisoner from the slums outside the city. What is also refreshing is that this story has both its protagonists as two young queer characters and their relationship is just as much part of the story as anything else. Since these are our main characters the strength of the story rests on the two of them and they raise to challenge with fantastic results. However, throughout the whole story there is a lack of how their society views their homosexuality, particularly a society like No:6 that punishes non-conformity.
'No.6' Season 2: Everything We Know So Far
Synopsis Sion is a bright teenager living a comfortable and promising life inside No. For helping a fugitive of the state, Sion is stripped of all his privileges. Four years later, they meet once again.
No. 6 season 2
Use it all! Once I again I find myself asking whether the helpless peals of laughter I was emitting after the finale were a good thing or not. In a strange way I think No. And I have to admire that, just as I did all along with this show — it never pulled its punches or worried about believability or restraint certainly not restraint. So what did happen?

Are sion and Nezeumi gay? I think it's more of a Naruto Sasuke brotherly love. Trainofdoom said: It's pretty much cannon.
