We have been long Dutch Wonderland visitors , and when Cartoon Network Hotel opened next door two years ago, we were very keen to visit. Last weekend we got our chance to touch down with all of the toon fun and had such a great experience! Read on for a description of the property and must-know tips for visiting this super-unique destination. Before visiting Cartoon Network Hotel, I was curious to see how the property was laid out.

Cartoon Network to open its first hotel in the US

Tailored to family business and hard-wired to maximize screen entertainment the hotel is positioned to be an animated upgrade to an adjacent property: Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park, which already features three dozen rides, attractions and shows. The design and conceptualization process is being led by Rhetroactive, a Los Angeles-based company with clients including Universal Studios, Six Flags, Starwood and Caesars Entertainment.

The hotel will include an outdoor amphitheater which will be the screening site for world premieres of new animated productions and a resort-style swimming pool and water-fun zone where youngsters can cavort under the watchful eye of Gunter the Penguin Lifeguard. Summercamp Island will be an area for fire-pit gatherings and lawn-game competitions. In-door amenities include an indoor pool, an indoor arcade, a kids play area, a coffee lounge, a wine bar and Cartoon Network store.

Offering an immersion into the world of animation, Cartoon Network's first hotel, in partnership with Palace Entertainment, has opened for bookings in Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania about 90 minutes west of Philadelphia the hotel invites families to have a sleepover in their favourite cartoon through themed rooms, restaurants and play areas. In addition to standard rooms, the room property offers dream suites that cater to families of up to six, with their own kitchenette and living room.
