I honestly love this trailer, I love the abrupt change in tone about a minute in, I love the fact that the dog got his own character intro, I love the horrible CG staircase at the end, I just love this trailer. Mostly due to how all over the place the entire show is. We have a director whose done some great shows, but this is a reverse harem, which have never been considered very… good. Ritsuka Tachibana becomes entangled in a conflict between devils and vampires at her school. Both sides believe she is the last remaining key to discovering the location of the "Forbidden Grimoire", a powerful book of magic that will give whoever obtains it mastery over the world. The series is unusual for the fact that it is essentially an animated musical, featuring at least one song per episode, sung by the characters in the show. Dance with Devils is a multimedia project conceived by Rejet and Elements Garden, which started as an anime series that was part of the Fall Anime season. The multimedia project also counts with a manga Dance with Devils -Blight- , written and illustrated by Samako Natsu, which focuses on Ritsuka and Shiki's relationship , 3 stage plays, a PlayStation Vita otome game released on March 25, , later announced for a Nintendo Switch port to be released on April 28, , and some drama CD series EverSweet , Charming Book , and Twinlead. In June , a movie based on the anime series, Dance with Devils -Fortuna- was announced, with the movie itself premiering on November 4 the same year. The movie's premise is an alternative retelling of the anime series with a number of key differences such as new songs, different epilogues depending on the cinema that shows it and a new character; Marius, voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga , who serves as the movie's narrator and has an implied connection to Ritsuka and Roen.

So, first of all this episode gave me dark vibes; the nightmare Ritsuka had and her angst made me wonder if it was gonna be a gloomier episode than the others. But then we have Lindo and his sweety big eyes! I mean, hello? I dunno really, just giving you some advices lmao. Rem in a normal peasant class? On Easter Sunday, from dawn, the town of Prizzi undergoes a metamorphosis: the inhabitants are awakened by groups of children who knock on their doors. Everyone of these kids is wearing a red dress the devils except one who is wearing a yellow ocher one death. These entities, which roam up and down the streets waving the chains, ask relatives, friends and everyone they meet, small amounts of money or fresh eggs or sweets as a handout to free themselves from their raucous and insistent presence. To the joyfulness of the boys is opposed the official group, the one from the organizing committee, made up of specially appointed adults, but still in costume. These are accompanied by an "undercover" with no costume , who guarantees for them and keep the deals. The characters are generally three: two represent the demons and one represents death.

The basic story is our heroine Tachibana Ritsuka possesses the forbidden grimoire inside of her and anyone who gets a hold of it will attain enormous powers. Also unfortunately? XD Ritsuka gets pissed upon hearing this and runs off. She later finds out from the other guys why he did it and he finds out it was a joke. So then the vampires kidnap her and Azuna and mage runs to kick their asses. After bringing her home Mage starts to question his goals and feelings for Ritsuka. This lights a fire under his ass and he kisses her in the beach sunset. Mage and co rescue her and Mage takes her back to the dance hall to dance with just the 2 of them.

Hell yeah! The student council introduction number where each of the four male devils is singing about how badass they are pretty much won me over, and every episode since then finds a way to work in at least one song which showcases the personality of the character singing it. Not all the numbers do it for me, but the sheer absurdity of having singing devils and vampires goes a long way. Each of the devils falls in love with Ritsuka in his own strangely warped way which culminates in all of them fighting for her in the inevitable devils versus vampires showdown over the fate of the Grimoire. Through the show, Ritsuka exhibits questionable judgment walking down dark alleys with the last people any sane girl should be walking with , but she is ultimately responsible for saving herself in the final confrontation, which was much appreciated even though it felt a little too late. That said, I did like her decision at the end of the story.
