Matt the simpsons

Simpson has topped our list of the Greatest Characters of the Last 20 Years. Homer originated with my goal to both amuse my real father, Homer, and just annoy him a little bit. My father was an athletic, creative, intelligent filmmaker and writer, and the only thing he had in common with Homer was a love of donuts. And he never strangled me, but he got so mad sometimes, it felt like that could be the next move. How did that come about?

Matt Groening, Creator & Executive Producer The Simpsons (EG7)

Long before he was the creator of the longest-running U. His parents were artsy but hard working. He got picked on for being bookish, and got into trouble for drawing in class. Sound familiar? Springfield is Portland. But come on — we know the truth. And we have proof. Well, we sort of have proof. Now, his creator Matt Groening is weighing in with his reaction. TMZ caught up with Groening at Los Angeles International Airport last week and asked him what he thought about the "real-life" Homer and it seems like Groening was as unsettled by it as we were. Wow, that That's the way to do it. That's exactly how I see Homer in my nightmares. In case you somehow missed it, last week artist Miguel Vasquez, who frequently makes disturbingly lifelike takes on cartoon characters including last year's creepy SpongeBob SquarePants, posted his take on The Simpsons character and, well, as you can see below the results are nightmarish just as Groening said. My 3D re-imagining of what Homer Simpson would look like in real life. Vasquez's 3D take on Homer is quite faithful to the animated "real" deal, complete with small ears, sparse hair, and a distinct five-o-clock shadow.
