Our Cartoon President Season 1 Episode 9

This animated series is a satirical take on the misadventures of President Donald J. It is based on animated sketches created for Stephen Colbert's late-night talk show, and it airs on Showtime. Its pay-TV home allows the show to take advantage of adult language and situations that it couldn't get away with on network TV.

Many of the cast members portray multiple characters; Jeff Bergman, for example, voices both Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Not to mention there has been so much turnover in the Trump Administration and, earlier this season, so many Democratic Presidential candidates that every other episode seems to bring an onslaught of new roles.

Showrunner and executive producer R. Fried told ITK, however, that the show, which shared exclusive advance clips with ITK, differentiates itself from other Trump-bashing TV fare by spreading its satire around equally.

Spun out from a recurring bit from Colbert's late-night show on CBS which also happens to be Showtime's parent , the animated series has a goofy stylized look and a gifted Trump mimic in Jeff Bergman. There is also some quite-clever writing, courtesy of showrunner R. Fried, such as Trump saying during an address, "Each and every one of you voted for me, and the ones who didn't, you kinda wanted to see what would happen. Given recent headlines, some of the jokes practically write themselves.
