Anime News — Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song – 07 – Opening the Lid
You know what this blog needs? More Haruhi. I realized after posting that my last post was actually of episode 2, not 1. No more confusion from here on out, hopefully. With the SOS Brigade a semi-official club still lacking a 5th member , Haruhi decides that she wants a computer for the clubroom. So, Haruhi grabs Kyon literally , and brings him and Mikuru to the computer club to procure a computer.
When the computer club president refuses to donate a computer to Haruhi, she proceeds to frame him as sexually harassing Mikuru by pushing him onto her and taking pictures. He concedes, and Haruhi gets her computer. She then moves on to the next phase of her plans. Finally, Yuki gave Kyon a book, which had a bookmark hidden within instructing him to meet her in a park at 7pm.
Kyon follows Yuki to her apartment where she proceeds to tell him that she is an alien. I had forgotten how sinister Haruhi was in getting that computer. I remembered that the club had one, but for some reason I failed to remember how they got it, until now. Maybe a combination of both.
Either way, Haruhi really is quite the thief here! Who could forget about those bunny girl outfits, or Yuki being an alien? You know, sometimes its the simple gags that get me. After Yuki takes Kyon to her apartment — they sit down and she pours him some tea.
She fills his cup again, so he drinks it. She then fills up his cup for a third time, so he uncomfortably drinks that as well. Person A — Hello, how are you? Person A — Good, you? Just as Kyon finishes assuring Mikuru that he will protect her from future sexual harassment, Haruhi enters the clubroom and proceeds to lock the door, causing a very distressed look from both Kyon and Mikuru. Short but very funny little moment. If I remember correctly, her apartment specifically is usually like this?
Personally I loved the episode, lot of fun moments, and we got to see a more more sinister side of Haruhi. My Disappearance DVD was a discarded library copy I bought used that was prone to skipping in a couple of places. It was better than nothing when the movie was out of print, but I was happy to upgrade that. Like Liked by 1 person. They really messed things up with how they did it haha.

Starting a new anime is always a bit of a gamble. Original anime are even more of a risk with the stories more often than not collapsing in on their own premise before we reach the end. So how was this final episode of Vivy? The resolution is so clear and everything is brought together incredibly neatly perhaps too neatly. Nothing felt like it was rushed or crammed in just so that we could get to an end because the season was over.

The series follows an AI singer whose mission is to make everyone who visits her at the theme park she works at happy through her singing. Basically, think of if Miku or your favorite idol VTuber performed on stage in a robotic body. However, one day, Diva later known as Vivy is visited by an AI named Matsumoto who claims to be from the future. Over the next century, whenever a critical moment that would lead to the AI vs. Other than the fact Vivy has some fantastic art and animation at times, what makes this series so good is actually the dynamic between Vivy and Matsumoto, and how the two of them react to the various situations they find themselves in. If sacrifices need to be made, Matsumoto has no problem making them, which can make him seem ruthless. But on the other hand, Vivy is often incapable of seeing the big picture that Matsumoto is working toward protecting.
