The debut of the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian revealed one of the most beloved new characters in the franchise, dubbed by fans as Baby Yoda, but Gremlins director Joe Dante believes the character was ripped off. Dante, 75, directed the film Gremlins, one of the biggest hits of the s, which featured a lovable Gremlin character named Gizmo. The filmmaker believes that the Baby Yoda was 'completely stolen' and copied from his Gizmo character, he revealed in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle.
