Anyways, just wanted to know ZU's opinion because I'm too lazy to decide myself. Must have a bunch of extras if it cost that much. Still though I'd say it's worth it.
May those who accept their fate be granted happiness; Those who defy it, glory! Buy it if you truly love the move, and want to see some extra stuff. But, you could always look for one for a lower price. It's really up to you if you want to fork over that much cash for the movie. It wasn't my favorite of Miyazaki's but it's certainly one worth seeing like all the rest.
It's time to make history, yeah! Spirited Away was okay; if there are other Studio Ghibli films that you haven't seen, I'd recommend buying those instead. Howl's better than Spirited Away? Surely you jest! Rent it first, see if you like it. Then buy it. It is a really good movie. All of Miyazaki's movies are good. Except for Proco Rosso.
It made me fall asleep. Spirited Away has a romance of sorts. Albeit between two preteens, but still. You mean the river spirit? I don't see it at all. The Earthsea movie is pretty good but a major spoiler for the books if you haven't read them. Um, a river spirit, yes, though not the one known as "the" river spirit. I suspect. And did you miss the entire movie past the leaving of the bathhouse? I want to see the Earthsea movie, though I hear it's very different indeed from the books.
I thought SA was a really good movie. I've only watched a few of Myasaki's movies, but that one was my favorite of the three.
I liked it better than Moving Castle, but that may be in part because I had watched Mononoke beforehand, and was starting to get tired of the Human bad Nature good thing. Then came Valley of the Wind, or something. I stopped watching as soon as it was stated that the notorious poison of the forest was caused by Humans.
Will do, then. Three movies with the same theme like that is just too much for me. Was Kiki's Delivery Service a Myasiki film? I remember a little bit of that, and it seems like the same art style. But none of them really are big into the nature "message" issue they're fun and have messages, but more like "be true to yourself" sort of stuff.
Kiki's Delivery Service is indeed a Miyazaki film, it's a great movie, despite being aimed at a younger audience. I watched Totoro too. That was a cool movie. I like Myasaki, even if I wasn't keen on watching three movies in a row with the same general message.

I purchased this particular book for a child who does not LIKE to read. This is volume 3 and he is eagerly awaiting volume 4 of 5. I gave him the movie and he has made so many good comments about it that I felt he might be interested enough to also read the books. The books are great in that they use the actual movie cells as illustrations and the movie script as the dialog. Not only does he have those beautiful pages of photographs but the words follow true to the movie that had impressed him so much in the first place. I highly recommend this 5 book set most especially for those who need a little nudge to find the worlds between the covers.
