Flapjack is one of the very few shows that makes CN slightly enjoyable to watch. It came around summer last year, and since then, I have been a huge fan. These Sinister Theories Will Change How You Feel About Your Favorite Childhood Characters
The show was losing it audience. It became unpopular and Cartoon Networks had to find another new show to replace it. It only lasted for 2 years, but i still think it was a very unique show. A more accurate answer for this age old question. The ratings were pretty high, above 3 quarters of the standard which keeps shows on the air.
Because of such high ratings, the three who were working on the show felt they had more potential and went on to create two other shows instead: Adventure Time and Regular Show. Flapjack had high ratings, which encouraged them move onto bigger and better things. The show was good but only to certain viewers.
It was one of those weird, strange shows that are funny because of that to please people who like that stuff. However to a lot of people they saw it as weird and stupid. People who create cartoons of this strange but funny style are risking it because the show is either a hit or miss.

Creepy Stuff — Ok so can we all recognize The Marvelous...
Ok so can we all recognize The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack in the discussion of modern Gothic works because like first of all. The show is seemingly set in the mid to late 19th century and it really captures the griminess of the time through the dim colors and almost too-realistic style at certain moments. There are unexplained, potentially disturbing plot points, like the fact that Peppermint Larry has a wife made of candy who may or may not actually be sentient and vengeful to boot. The show also frequently uses hyper-realism and even live action in addition to the two dimensional animation, which is extremely uncanny and jarring whenever it appears. And of course there are the countless wtf moments that throw terrifying images at the viewer and leave lasting nightmares for years to come:. Not only does this show do a fantastic job at disturbing its audience, but it also does so with endless creativity and genuinely unexpected imagery. The animation is wonderfully awful to behold and the aesthetic is refreshing and distinct come on, nautical and gothic??

Plot:Flapjack takes place in a place called strongstorm harbour and Its about 2 adventurers flapjack and captain k'nuxcles who have been looking for a place called candied island but have never got there due to bubby and all the danger that surrounds the place.

The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack follows a young boy named Flapjack who was raised inside Bubbie, a talking whale. After Flapjack rescues a shipwrecked crusty old pirate named Captain K'nuckles, the misadventures begin. The pair set sail in search of the magical Candied Island filled with lollipop trees and lemonade springs, but then trouble gets in the way. Flapjack and K'nuckles consume a new drink at the Candy Barrel, but when they drink too much, it turns them into fish. Flapjack tries to clear K'nuckles' name when he gets accused of stealing candy.
