I got to know about the Death Note movies sometime in , a good three years after the first film came out. This is an explanation of the two Death Note movies. You can find other film explanations using the search option on top of the site. I did not know how awesome they were. Death Note was my first view into the awesomeness of the Live Action world. The first Death Note has some incredible series of events.

Death Note is the most loved psychological thriller anime series that retains a huge fanbase all around the world. The series is loved for its peculiar plotline featuring exceptionally smart characters, capable of subduing their opponents by playing labyrinthine mind games. Although Light resorted to removing evil from the world, he became the very person he hated the most his whole life.
The only question that still revolves around sporadically in every Death Note fan's mind is, does Light Yagami die for real at the end of the series.
Light gets exposed as the real Kira by the combined efforts of Near and Mello. He again shoots Light multiple times, which makes him fall to the ground.
However, Light still gets up with the little strength he has and walks out of the vicinity. Although running away with severe wounds was redundant, he still tried to get away from the place and entered an empty building, where he finally died in the middle of the staircase. Light is finally dead in the series as the shinigami himself personally wrote the former's name on his Death Note.
Ryuk also tells Light that the human owner of the notebook gets banished from the spiritual world. Light dies in the middle of the staircase, insinuating that he neither went to hell nor heaven. In his last moments, he saw a mirage of himself walking in the opposite direction with the Death Note in his hands. This moment was just his manifested thought, making him remember the day it all started and how life could have been if he had never picked up the book.

The Death Note, given to Light by a shinigami — a Japanese god of death — named Ryuk, allows him to kill anyone by writing their name in the notebook, provided he knows their face. Using the notebook, Light takes it upon himself to rid the world of criminals and proclaims himself to be a god known as Kira. Ryuk offers Minoru the Death Note, but he decides to sell it to the highest bidder. By doing this, Ohba implies that people should not fear any one person with the Death Note — public surveillance would make it immensely difficult to use.

Death Note has cemented itself as one of the best anime series in history and the show only has a short, episode runtime. Split into two parts, things heat up in part two after initial investigations into the mass murderer Kira ramp up following the death of its lead investigator L. Mello tries to use force and his goons to kidnap and take out Light, but this plan fails and results in Mello being killed. Nier, on the other hand, being the true successor of L, outsmarts Light and manages to catch him within a mess of lies. After acquiring one of the three real death notes, Nier slips fake pages into a death note that Light gives to devoted Kira follower Teru Mikami prior to the final altercation. When the task force comes face-to-face with Light and Mikami in a warehouse at the conclusion of the show, Light believes that he has won by showing Nier to Mikami, who plans to write his name into the death note, killing him and laying the groundwork to exonerate both himself and Light. It is considered as a highly entertaining and thrilling anime, with battle of intellect between our two main characters and more. Well, we all know these things, but have we ever thought about what might be beyond what meets the eyes?
For me, one of the most unforgettable aspects of the story is the cast, especially the two main characters, Light and L. Even though all plot details are the same, the manga and anime endings are pretty much different. Two other detectives had taken his place towards Ending. Mello used force to bind Kira by capturing his family.
