Beyond the heaping helpings of earnestness, humor, and charm which it has in spades , what makes OreMono so appealing to me is that it seems like a story dedicated to doing something just a little different from the usual shoujo fare.

Our love story episode 1 & 2
We see a year-old boy named Ko Yamori who has trouble sleeping in the night which he did not have before. He sort of comes off as a shy guy who keeps his distance from girls. One night he goes out of his house for a late-night walk and encounters a girl Nazuna Nanakusa while he is trying to get a beer so he could fall asleep, that girl looks nice because she starts the conversation and tries to help him or loosen him up. Her philosophy is that the night is to let ourselves loose and enjoy. She thinks that if people do not do anything satisfying during their day they do not feel like sleeping which makes sense at some point.

Ek Jhoothi Love Story
The Spring season is here and all the new anime titles are getting started. Today I will be doing a review of the first episode of Ore Monogatari , one of several titles I plan to watch this Spring season. Just as a note, I may post pictures of potential spoilers, though I will try not to, but I suggest watching the episode before reading these episode reviews in the future. Read on to see why. We start the episode with this fable that quite accurately opens up the plot and gives insight on the circumstances that it contains. Here we have Gouda Takeo, a very big and husky guy.
Olivia apologizes for asking about it, and in the next moment, Malcolm is on his knees proposing. Olivia, girl, you in danger. They quickly marry, and more red flags pop up: On their way to Foxworth Hall, Malcolm coldly tells Olivia her job is to run the household; the mansion is dark and dreary; Malcolm avoids her on their wedding night and disappears the next morning; her designated office space is tucked away in a windowless room; housekeeper Mrs. Plus, she took pride in her appearance, which means Malcolm despises women who wear makeup. To outsiders, Olivia and Malcolm are the perfect couple. They dance closely during their wedding party, but no one can hear him whispering in her ear that he thinks she looks like a common prostitute for wearing a form-fitting dress and makeup. Olivia makes plans to leave her husband, but soon learns from Amos that her father died in deep debt.
Jokes aside, protagonist Takeo is every bit as brash and unrefined as I had hoped he would be, while being completely sweet, lovable, and funny at the same time. I also appreciate how the writer has crafted the foil character of Sunakawa, whom I had originally imagined to be a self-glorifying playboy. Instead, thanks to his so-far relative decency, I can safely put down the Takeo-why-do-you-befriend-someone-like-this placard, and allow the story to take its time in developing real issues.
