Eurovision is also a sweeping cinematic effort, with the director David Dobkin taking in dramatic Icelandic vistas and staging several full-blown musical numbers amid all the comic antics. The Eurovision Song Contest, which pits each country on the continent against one another in a battle of balladry, has existed since the mids and has always been a good 10 years behind every musical trend. A favorite one year could be a crooning vampire or a demonic metal band or a bunch of older Russian ladies baking cookies onstage.

The game received extremely negative reviews from several video game journalists , who panned it as a repetitive and boring beat 'em up with bland representations of otherwise unique characters. A port for the Nintendo Switch was released on 31 October They then have to set out to defeat an army of "Mirror Clones", evil shard clones presumably formed after breaking through the dimensions. Each character has a unique set of attacks and abilities. They progress through six worlds based on their respective series, each of which has two normal levels and a boss fight.
Each normal level also has a secret bonus room that requires one of the characters' abilities to access. Sometimes, the player is required to replay a previous level in one of three special modes to collect a hidden item needed to advance. The levels consist of going through an area and defeating enemies, from which the characters can collect gems and gain new abilities.
Throughout the levels are hazards emanating from piles of shards that can be cleared by a certain character's abilities. The characters, who have their respective health bars, can pick up health-restoring items and special power-ups like walkie-talkies. The game was announced on 17 August Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers received negative reviews from several video game critics for mainly being a monotonous and boring beat-'em-up title with a lack of representation of the unique personalities and traits of each playable character.
A reviewer for the Daily Mirror described it as a "glorified browser flash game ," and wrote that "Real talent goes into making something this bland out of characters as interesting as these. Specific criticisms include a small number of types of enemies that are defeated primarily with button mashing ; [4] forgettable background music and sound effects; lack of dialogue, including a complete absence of voice acting ; lack of personality for the playable characters and NPCs ; unbalanced character attacks, with characters other than Finn and Jake being near-useless aside from clearing hazards; and low difficulty.

Nowadays these games are rare due to their simplistic nature. So when I heard Cartoon Network had one coming, featuring some of their iconic characters, I was all-in. Sadly, after spending a handful of hours drudging through this boring adventure I realized there is certainly more to this simplistic genre than I had once thought. On the surface this game sounds like a homerun. The visuals are a colorful treat, and the characters are almost all recognizable. It is a veritable all-star cast from the network. The plot is that the characters have all been cobbled together due to some interdimensional travel, setting it up like an episode of one of the shows.

There are six worlds with two levels apiece, plus a boss battle for each area. Each character has weak, strong, and special attacks that they can unlock when you level up. Collect gems from defeated enemies and destructible objects to gain levels. Gather healing food items and other power-ups as well. Switch characters by pressing the L and R buttons or tapping on the touch screen. Watch out for spots on the ground that can poison, burn, or electrify you. Unfortunately, the game has quite a few problems that keep it from being truly great.

Some reviewers also criticized the padding of the game's length due to the fact that the player has to replay certain stages just to get a hidden item. Everything has changed since then though. Can the new crop of stars pack a big enough punch to succeed, or will it just be a quick cash cow to milk fans of the current programming? And it is a good job I did, because the story itself is pretty bare. It seems as though the rip within the universes has brought some baddies along for the ride — not that any of that is conveyed properly.

I recently finished playing Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers , and I was in a similar state for the four or five hours it took me to clear the campaign. One difference between me and Uncle Grandpa, though, is that I didn't accidentally shift into "Break Dimensions" gear. And I didn't gather together characters from six Cartoon Network properties and task them with saving their suddenly merged world.

This 2D adventure game features a killer soundtrack and plenty of fantasy elements that add up to an immersive experience almost addicting! It also features a co-op story that allows four players to join together to save the princesses and defeat the dark wizard. Within the game there are plenty of characters to choose from, each with different advantages and different styles of play. Portrayed as the angriest of the colored knights, the Green Knight is one of the core characters of the game and centers around his use of poison. First appearing in the game as an enemy, the Skeleton becomes a playable character once the game is completed with the Red Knight. Dark Pillars is his splash move dealing damage to enemies based on their defense.
