Saekano best girl

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata or Saekano, one of the many animes we've enjoyed from last year. It's a harem so the question must be asked: Who is Best Girl? Utaha is a third year student making her Tomoya's senpai. She is secretly a successful writer under the pen name of "Utako Kasumi". She is both beautiful and smart so much so that she is known to be the smartest student in school.

Megumi Kato: Bunny Ver. (Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend ♭)

Exhibit 73 of why every vote matters. I wonder if this will end up being the closest match-up of the entire bracket. As much as I love Nichijou, I couldn't not vote Kokkoro here. This one hurts, a lot. All rests on Kyaru tomorrow, but she's up against Winry I've been voting since BG3 and this might be the most gut wrenching matchup yet.

I've never abstained from a vote where I've seen both shows and this'll have to be the first. That can't be right. Maybe if I close the tab and open it again, the results will be correct this time? Might want to wait and see if the new anime coming out is a season 3 or a remake first. Unless you don't mind a rewatch if it is a remake. Vote for Saya Endou! The first best girl contest began in It is an event that has been held annually every summer since.

Having read each contest's topics, I have compiled various statistics from them. If you want to read these topics for yourself in entirety, they are available for viewing on the wiki. In the meantime I'll be providing you with the abridged version, with various factual tidbits posted throughout the contest! Are you curious as to why your favorite girl isn't in this contest? Well, it might be that her anime isn't a year old yet Today we'll be talking about every female champion to win a major contest Best Girl and Best Character.

We have had ten total female champions thus far, and each and every one has something unique about their championship run that no other girl has! Here's a rundown:. Don't get the wrong idea, its not that we like tsunderes or anything. I'd say it's more that it's a polarizing archetype, either you love tsunderes or you hate them with very little room in between. Asuna has only a few minutes of tsun in the whole series though.

I wonder if we'll see more of it in Progressive. If Shinobu is a side character then so is Rem, and you could make a case for Mikoto and Rin depending on which series from their franchise you consider the main series. Edit: Here's a different Shinobu fact you can use: Only winner to come from the same series as a prior winner. Well, it was that or "shortest champion" or "oldest champ" or "only blonde" :D But those felt She gets a character arc, where she's the center of attention, sure.

But I think "main character" status should be reserved for one or two characters tops usually, a male lead and female lead, but it varies. And in that case, the word loses it's meaning if you're going to broadly define it like that. Reframing the question, if you had to pick a the main female lead i.

I think the disconnect here is the belief that 'side character' is some derogatory term. It's not. Rem kind of is a side character. She was almost totally absent from this past season.

A season that largely focused on the female lead, Emilia. I already answered this in another reply. The argument for Rem being the primary female lead over Emilia was better at the time of the championship. This is not the case for Shinobu. Senjougahara is only the main character in Bakemonogatari in the rest of Monogatari series she's just a popular side character.

I'm saying in the first season Rem had side character material character written all over her to me. You know, I don't really disagree. Emilia screamed "main female lead" to me, even though she doesn't really do anything in season 1.

I'm just saying there was more than enough evidence for someone to point to and suggest otherwise- again, Rem's screen time and character development in season 1 when she won exceeded Emilia's. It's a good, logical reason for one to assume why she's more important. Emilia was the first person Subaru met. He is the driving force that moves him forward. She is totally the female lead. Love these short recaps you are doing about different things on the contest, pretty fun to look back at some results and see how that turned out.

When I rough drafted this, I did initially include Rem as a "side character. That was the time when people were arguing over who the main girl was, and that Rem would come out on top She's also the only female character to win 3 major titles Best Girl, Best Couple, Best of the Best , though that's partly because the 3rd contest can only be run after several years.

That was also surprising to me! There are many possible explanations for that, I wonder which is the right one;. Well, to be fair, the only reason why Mai didn't also win in her debut tournament, is because Kaguya stopped her. We'll see how it goes this year! An 'old' one is winning this year! I think manga girls not having much success in this tournament has a lot to do with many mangas being shonen, and female characters unfortunately don't get many meaningful things to do in those. JJK is one shonen show that gave me the impression of being different in that regard, but many source readers keep telling me the women don't get much to do later, unfortunately.

Maybe the upcoming Chainsaw Man will change that. Recency is another topic I plan to bring up at another time, but in Kaguya's case her debut tournament was just after her second season finished airing- nearly every champion has a sequel season. That is true.

However, it is not her primary source material either. I'll make a clarification edit then, thanks. Honestly, it wasn't all that weird at the time of voting - although it was incredibly funny realising that amid all of the SAO hate, Asuna actually won best girl.

Aliciasiation how the hell do you spell that had literally just aired, so SAO hype was high - she's extremely recognisable because so many people have seen SAO, on top of being fairly uncontroversial in her path to the finals. Turns out that while a lot of people talk shit about SAO, it's still super popular and most of the haters don't have an issue with Asuna specifically when it comes to their gripes about the show. There weren't any weird spikes in her votes, several of her opponents peaked higher in the same rounds - it's just that when push came to shove, more people picked her.

There were something like 16K votes in the semi-finals, both finalists got 10Kish votes in that round - but Winry actually lost 3K votes total despite more voters overall for the final round. Actual suspicious botting tends to result in a complete blowout that is extremely obvious when you zoom out.

Asuna was just a perfect storm of recognition, meme value, her opponent triggering both Konosuba and Holo fans on top of having a weak opponent in Winry no hate, but most of her votes come from being in a recognisable show rather than any of her moments.

SAO has some of the most outspoken haters out there you would think no one likes the series but than stuff like Asuna winning and the Progressive movie visual being one of the top posts all time on this sub show it's just a loud minority. Asuna was also probably a lot of people's first exposure to waifus because SAO was a huge gateway anime for a lot of people.

So that on top of her having a new season and actually being a top seed made it not very sus imo. Haha, that's me. And I still like her even after watching many other anime. She might not be a well-written character but, as a girl, she perfectly suits my taste.

Beautiful, caring, has strong will, likes to play games… what's not to love? Yeah, it's not taking a shot at Asuna particularly as much as it is taking a shot at Best Girl 6 as a whole. From the Round of 16 on, it was one big clusterfuck after another to the point where it felt like you'd have a better chance getting predictions right by flipping a coin than looking at the results of any prior contest or round.

There weren't even any posts on the SAO sub about the contest until she won and we all laughed at the salt in the comment section. I don't know it was such a weird contest with the finals being super surprising but the fact she survived that whole zero two debacle and towards the end most people felt alright with her winning and making jokes about it, makes me really like best girl 6 as a contest.

Some Asuna simp definitely sacrificed something for this to happen. That was surprising to me! Sadly Kaguya vs Chika can't happen anymore, or this could've been the one!

It's actually a little higher than that, but I plan on going into more detail with vote share and dominance in tomorrow's post, so look forward to it!

Funny you should say that, because if we include the men, the second overall highest is Shirogane Miyuki Kind of sad to see all the Non Non Biyori characters get knocked out in the first round, though also not surprising other than Renge.

As for today's vote, it feels bad not voting for Suisei as she's a favorite, but the hardest choices require the strongest wills. Bracket C: - RIP Pecorine, its just best cat left from Priconne If you haven't watch it yet it is like a toned down konosuba by the same director.

Misaki "Mental-Out" - I'm giving everything I've got to Misaki but I have the feeling people just don't know enough about her and why she is best girl material. The more shows I watch the more painful these contests become. Right now it feels like I'm just watching all my favorites walk up to the gallows. It's great to see so much Utaha love in the comments, she is such a spectacular character, and has been living rent-free in my head ever since I first watched Saekano.

I have the feeling people just don't know enough about her and why she is best girl material. I think part of it is a first impressions thing, too, as her power and the way she uses it seem very abusive. However, even without the LNs and without her spin-off, she became one of my favourite overall characters once her back-story was revealed in Railgun, and is quite possibly my favourite Raildex character.

One day, an otaku high school student Tomoya Aki has a fateful encounter with a girl. Meanwhile, Tomoya is shocked to learn that the girl he idolized as his muse for this whole project was none other than his boring classmate, Megumi Kato! The "new sibling romantic comedy" revolves around Masamune Izumi, a light novel author in high school. Masamune's little sister is Sagiri, a shut-in girl who hasn't left her room for an entire year.

One day, he encounters a beautiful girl in a scene seemingly ripped right out of a visual novel.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification. Maybe it's just me, but it almost sounds like Matsuoka is also trying to replicate Hiroshi Kamiya's voice during that monologue as well. I considered that, but I feel like Kayanon's voice as Utaha always has the same kind of vibe as Chiwa's Senjougahara voice. Lol that mic echo effect for the internal narration is on point. Just add a low bitrate audio filter and you got the authentic Monogatari narrator experience.

Saekano Utaha Kasumigaoka Sex

Like I said, this anime is well worth watching. He recruits other girls in to his circle to basically help him make his dream game. Though it does feature a few ecchi moments, the fan service is light like a few shots from different angles and the rare boob shots.
