Had enough of one-way travel stories from a generic formula? Well, Hataraku Maou-sama showcases the opposite situation! Instead of humans from this world crossing to the other side, the demon king himself, Sadao Maou, crosses to this world! After nearly suffering complete devastation, Sadao decides to retreat to Earth. Together with his right-hand man, Ashiya, both of them try to adapt to their new world.
They both have limited powers on Earth but the hero, Emilia, is still after them! Will things on Earth get messed up? This demon lord is busy cooking for a fast food joint and rising in the corporate world! Most of these animes above, are nothing like Konosuba. Just because they have something the same, doesn't make it an anime just like it. First of all. You need fun. Silly-fun, pun-fun, boob-fun, awkward-fun, behavioral-fun.
At least 2 from those. Boob-fun would especially be good, because if Konosuba is something else beside a fun anime, it would be an ecchi. But it's also a harem. So ecchi or an ecchi-bordering harem is a must, because sexy girls is a real big part of Konosuba.
Even more then a good story let's be honest, in most episodes there isn't much quest story and when on a quest So to my feeling, when searching for an anime like Kona, it would be in fantasy world, but that's my personal taste. It just didn't feel right for me.

Six years on, one of the finest and most unique sitcoms is coming back for not just a sequel—but a prequel as well. Instead of the typical isekai power fantasy, Kazuma becomes a relatively run-of-the mill adventurer with little redeeming qualities, using his decent smarts and luck to progress towards his true goal—to take down the Demon King. Kazuma, ever the outcast, is the straight man in more ways than one to his zany party members, who are the opposite of Kazuma: strong on the outside, but borderline useless due to their debilitating personalities. KonoSuba season 3 does not have a release date yet. Though the show has been announced, it is still in production and will likely take a year or two before broadcast.
