My Dress-Up Darling season 2 set up to bring more fantastic cosplay to life
That changes when forthright, energetic Kitagawa Marin catches him using a school sewing machine to make doll clothes—and begs him to use his skills to make her a cosplay costume. This is easily the prettiest premiere of the season so far, absolutely bursting with color, charm and a nice balance of grounded boarding and rubber-boned comedy.
It helps that our two leads are extremely good kids with immediate chemistry. That the two come together not because they share a common hobby but because they love how passionately the other person cares about their interests is downright adorable, and a smart way to make sure that the two leads can learn from each other without this turning into a story about our female lead being impressed by how quickly her love interest surpasses her at her own hobby.
And the fact that it centers around high schoolers might understandably be a deal-breaker for some, regardless of any other factors. Many panty shots. It may be that the series has a talent for predominantly if not always making its horniness character-based.
The premiere is also fairly good about translating this, by-and-large animating Marin in a non-sexualized way outside of those moments that are meant to be intimate—which ideally also means the fanservice is contextual rather than pervasive. If those two not-insignificant hurdles sound like something you can work with, this is one to watch.
The characters are great, the visuals are lovely, and it has a nice undercurrent of celebrating gender-nonconforming attitudes alongside its focus on fannish passion. Please help us pay more people to make great content! This has been a disappointing season thus far — at least for me. Of course, a romance series makes fans wait as the couple inch closer to confessing their feelings in My Dress-Up Darling Episode However, Kitagawa might want to hurry up, as in previous episodes, it seems Juju likes Gojo, too. Episode 12 of My Dress-Up Darling will follow different time schedules for different locations.

Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru aka My Dress-up Darling is currently one of the most beloved romantic-comedy manga on multiple manga reading sites. Fans for years have been waiting for its anime adaptation and their prayers were finally answered when the anime adaptation was officially announced in April It is a cosplay love-comedy written and drawn by Fukuda Shinichi, which follows high school students Wakana Gojou, who loves making traditional Hina Dolls and Marin Kitagawa, the prettiest girl in the school. Kazumasa Ishida is drawing the characters designs and is also serving as chief animation director. Meanwhile, Takeshi Nakatsuka is composing the music for the show.

My Dress-Up Darling's latest episode began with Kitagawa trying to convince Juju for a group cosplay, which she reluctantly agreed to. Gojo gets some praise from his grandfather for his Hina doll-making skills by the end of the day. Gojo's grandfather also encourages him to polish his skills by helping Kitagawa with her costume and make-up. The next day, Gojo heads off to Kitagawa's home to borrow the box set of the anime series " Flower Princess Blaze!! When he arrives, Kitagawa offers to watch the episodes with him in her house, making Gojo nervous. As the two watch the show, Gojo pays full attention to the characters' outfits while Kitagawa looks at Gojo, realizing that she is on a "date" with the boy she loves! Not having eaten much, her stomach soon begins to grumble, and she decides to cook something for the two of them. Kitagawa's "omurice" preparation faces a bit of a mishap and does not end up looking the way she wanted; however, Gojo praises the dish telling her it is delicious.

One of the animators behind My Dress-Up Darling is honoring Marin Kitagawa's newest cosplay with some adorable new art! Shinichi Fukuda's original manga series made its big anime adaptation debut along with the rest of the new wave of Winter anime schedule, and has quickly become one of the most popular releases of the schedule overall. It's quickly taken off with fans as they were drawn into its central duo of Marin Kitagawa and Wakana Gojo as they grew closer to one another and dove further into Marin's cosplay hobby. This has resulted in all sorts of makeovers for Marin in the episodes so far.
My Dress-Up Darling Episode 10 is lined up for a release this week. In the story so far, Gojo had been working day in and out to prepare the dresses of two of the most competitive cosplayers he has known. For his ease, he has experience working with Kitagawa. But the same cannot be said for Juju. She was one of the winners in the last cosplay. Thus, working with her will be extra difficult for him in the next episode.
