Spirited Away is a Japanese fantasy film that tells the story of Chihiro Ogino, a ten-year-old girl who accidentally enters the world of Kami. Her parents turned into pigs and left her stranded and alone in the spirit world and find herself trying to save her parents but also learning what the spirit world was like. This film was released back in and like Spirited Away , is still a commonly watched anime because it is that good. The spirit, Totoro has become a huge symbol for Studio Ghibli and is a must-watch!

The story follows a young Emishi prince named Ashitaka in the Muromachi period and tells the story of his journey between the gods of the forest and the humans who use it to consume its resources. It is a super touching film and is a must-watch for Studio Ghibli lovers. No other animation director does it like Miyazaki. The story is set in a fictional kingdom where there is magic and follows the story of a young girl named Sophie who turned into an old lady by a witch but later meets a wizard named Howl and joins him in the journey to fight for the king.

So, earlier this month, I decided to watch all the twenty-two Studio Ghibli movies that are available on Netflix and I have never been more enchanted by Japanese animation in my entire life. One thing I like about Ghibli movies is that they focus on instilling the values of love and compassing instead of urging people to have wars. Studio Ghibli movies are as human-friendly as they could be. The director of Studio Ghibli Inc, Hayao Miyazaki, has indeed done an amazing job in making films that are so unique that they transport you to a world of fantasy. A young milliner, Sophie, magically turns into an old woman and goes out in search of an antidote to reverse the effects of the magic. A boy encounters a girl that falls from the sky and decides to embark on an adventurous journey to save her from the ghastly Pirates.
