Just when you are left thinking Steins;Gate 0 is just dragging us along, they present a trigger which may force Okabe into some real action. After the fainting spell, Kagari is back to life and though she may not outright remember Mayushii, she connects with her. So, with that noted, Okabe lets Moeka know she was found and has her continue the search for who else is looking for her. Seemingly resigning the idea she is still an agent for SERN and a threat. Thus leading everyone to enjoy the rest of the day as well as New Years. Though, with suspicious characters still lurking about, the good times only roll temporarily.

Steins;Gate Ep 1: "Prologue of the Beginning and the End"

In the tenth episode of Steins;Gate , the world has undeniably changed in multiple ways, and Okabe wonders about changing it further. Trigger Warning: For a section that addresses transphobia specifically transmisogyny , misgendering, and sexual assault, with a description of said act. It is undeniably an affect of the PowerWave. There are tons of interesting observations here and details I imagine are seeded to either hint at future storylines or to build up this idea that the world is changing in escalating ways.

The satellite disappears from the building at one point; is that meaningful? When did it get removed or did something else crash there in this world line? Why is it that the principal friendships in the Future Gadget Lab still the same? It just… wow, it really sucked to learn that through an act of sexual assault? In one of the previous timelines, they also technically groped Ruka and then there was some trans panic on display.

I only remember that I did not comment on it until right now. Well, I should also note, as I did on video, that more than any other character, Okabe jumps in and out of this mad scientist persona with Mayuri. Which brings us to Suzuha, who becomes the subject of the next experiment, despite that Okabe almost decides that maybe they should stop changing the past.

For the first time, we get a significant dose of her backstory, only to learn that it has been years since her father disappeared, and she came to Tokyo to find him. But a terribly complex bout of events occurs that prevents Okabe from assuring this happens and that Suzuha visits the lab for the first time to attend a going-away party in celebration of her reunion with her father.

Steins;Gate 0 – 21

This was a rather unconventional episode for Steins;Gate, in that the main focus was on oddly cheesy sentimentality. Even more surprisingly, it actually worked. I suppose I should probably do some theorising here, although generally I prefer to leave that up to my comments section to do. She then met her dad, the crazy space alien or something, and flew off in that satellite that is really their spaceship or something. I wonder why Kyouma following her ended up with her dad not showing up though.

So Hilda was just trying to enjoy a delicious slice of apple pie one day when evil men showed up and dragged her away to her island prison. Even so, the maid is still wearing her stuffy maid outfit. This is what anime does all the time, though. Why is that?

I imagine a world where he goes off on mad adventures that only he and Fubuki can share…. One of the most melodramatic moments of the season so far also features in episode 9, with Suzuha pulling a gun on Okabe. On the other hand, Suzuha is clearly under a lot of stress. Do we want to see Okabe overcome his dependence on Kurisu Makise, or do we want to see him make it back to Steins Gate and live with his true love? Dear lord, what a train wreck. It opens innocently enough with some cute Kurisu-Maho interaction.

But if you can get past that, Steins;Gate was entertaining again. And fun again, and Hououin Kyouma finally came our of hibernation , maybe just in time to save the series. And in the big picture, that probably matters a lot more. El psy fucking congroo….
