Animated comedy 'Megamind' pulls through on its voice casting with Will Ferrell as the supervillain. November 5, Maybe there should be a moratorium on animated movies about bald bad guys. In the world of spoof superheroes, Megamind, voiced by Will Ferrell , the greatest villain in the world , is locked in an eternal battle against the seemingly invincible and perfect Metro Man Brad Pitt. After initially gloating over his victory, Megamind soon realizes that his greatest wish is not all it's been cracked up to be. With the help of his loyal Minion David Cross , Megamind decides to create a new hero to make his status meaningful. Unfortunately, Titan, instead of using his powers for good, sets out for mass destruction, positioning Megamind to save the day for the first time in his life.

‘Megamind’ Is the Best of Both Worlds

Perhaps one of the most underrated animated movies of recent years, Megamind has been getting more attention these days with fans reminiscing over the film. And it is worth bringing up as a pretty good movie that was somehow underappreciated at the time of its release. Moreover, it's probably one of the best superhero movies ever made among both animated and live-action ones. Sadly, this DreamWorks gem didn't get a sequel though this might actually be for its own benefit. Luckily for the fans, there are some other similar movies from different studios that resemble Megamind in tone, plot, or characters.

But there's one thing in "Megamind" that isn't supersized:. You want to see perfectly rendered, highly waxed linoleum floors and intricately detailed hairdos? Look here. One, however, is raised in a wealthy family with every advantage; the other is brought up by criminals. The script puts a bit of a twist on things by making the hero an arrogant ass, and the villain a misunderstood mess. But too much of this is familiar.

Megamind — Supervillain, Megamind, dedicates his life to becoming a constant thorn in the side of superhero, Metro Man. However, when Metro Man is killed, Megamind is bereft, without purpose. Despite finding comfort by having a few dates with savvy reporter, Roxanne, he sets about creating a new superhero to fight against. Unfortunately his plan backfires when his superhero serum is accidentally injected into the selfish and arrogant, Hal. When Hal begins to destroy the city, Megamind soon finds himself out of his depth.

Their most recent features such as The Boss Baby and Trolls films have been financially successful, but few would claim they are their strongest work hopefully this spring's Bad Guys is about to change that. However, DreamWorks TV arm has gone from strength to strength, with the streaming boom allowing them to flourish. DreamWorks TV has now surprised fans with two new series based on two of their more unexpected movies. No word on whether original star Will Ferrel will return, but A-listers don't typically reprise their role in the small-screen spin-offs.
