This topic contains spoilers - you can click, tap, or highlight to reveal them. Calwings 1 year ago 3. Cure La Mer has arrived, and she's absolutely gorgeous! Her first fight was fun, her finisher is kind of basic but still gets the job done, and her victory pose is just so silly.
It's so perfectly Laura. Then the big moment at the end, where everyone realized that she had become a human A midseason debut of a new Cure is almost always one of the most hype and most emotional moments of any anime year, and I'm glad more people are able to enjoy it now thanks to Tropical-Rouge being on Crunchyroll.
Calwings 1 year ago 5. And we got a new ending theme as a result of Laura becoming Cure La Mer, apparently. Indeed we did. Usually they wait until a couple episodes after the midseason Cure joins to change the opening and ending, but they decided to give up the new ending the same week.
So I wonder if we'll see a new opening next week or if they'll still wait a couple weeks for it. I still can't say I like the open sandals and leggings, and on closer look, I don't like the eyelash pearls either, but I'll be damned if Laura isn't adorable as a human.
And her victory pose is so silly, I love it. I hadn't been so hyped for a new Cure since Heartcatch when the concept was completely new for me, and Laura lived up to the hype. This is how you introduce a mid season Cure. Dokidoki and Healin' Good, take note please. Also, the way she tricked Shrimp Girl Elda, was that her name? So, currently my Cure ranking is: Sango, who is so adorably dorky, I can't help loving her Minori, who needs more Papaya Beam spam Laura tied with Manatsu. If only Laura didn't wear those sandals she would be ranked higher.
She's not bad, but her character archetype is not my cup of tea. And, as is usually the case, I'll need time to get used to the new ending to decide which one I like best, but rarely have I preferred the second ending to the first, Heartcatch being the primary example of better 2nd Ed than the first.
Big question though, who handled Laura's transfer to the middle school? Then again, the same could be asked about most mid season Cures. Sunshine and Ace didn't really need any loopholes, Passion was kinda explained in-series, but almost everyone else is in the same boat as Laura.
Yep Elda is the shrimp maid. I still love personalities of 3 subordinates their laziness is great. The butler is something. Laura's intro as a cure was amazing. Calwings 1 year ago 8. The bad guy subordinates are underrated. I wonder if we'll see him come to the human world and summon some Yaraneda like the others at some point?
Got excited when Mr. Krabs started fighting Cure Summer head-on, but then they cut away before we could really see any action. I do hope she can still change back into a mermaid later, though. As a cure, she'll gain human legs and her color will be blue. Since there's a trend of lead cures that are blonde to have mid season cures with pink hair Miracle and Felice, Flora and Scarlet, Peach and Passion, Her hair will be pink. Probably light pink. If not, her hair will be blue, green, or a lighter version of her current hair color.
